The top pops off too easy, right in the middle of sharpening and then all the pencil shaving fall out. The actual sharpening holes are small and tight, have to really shove the pencil in and then 1/2 the time the lead breaks.

This yoobi sharpener sharpens without destroying the pencil. This sharpener is able to sharpen the bigger Ticonderoga "My First" pencils as well. I appreciate that the cap remains securely closed. No one likes cleaning graphite shavings explosions.

The sharpener is nice and sharp, but it comes apart! When sharpening a pencil, it’s normal to push the pencil into the hole pretty firmly to keep pressure on the cutting blade. But after sharpening just one pencil, the blade cartridge started popping out of the frame and collapsing into the shaving container. I don’t understand why they went with this three-part design, but we had to sharpen the rest of our pencils just holding the blade cartridge by hand, with no container to catch the shavings. Pretty disappointing.
