This is a very sturdy bed frame. The structure and materials are good quality. Video instructions are much more understandable and useful than paper directions sent with package, but having access to both is a good resource when putting this piece together with someone else. Four stars for overall: ease and length of process, numerous tools necessary beyond what was sent or described (phillips head, flat head, allen wrench, power drill, 2 sizes of wrench), shipping time, price, & quality.

It doesn’t have a headboard which is ok since this bed is below a window. I would recommend this bed due to the quality and it being high enough to put storage underneath it.

Before, we were using the Bed in a Box, queen size mattress, with bed rails and such made to use with a box springs and mattress. Let me just say, we are over the moon, it’s so comfortable, the mattress isn’t sliding here nor there now and the wood platform bed is very sturdy. After, getting the Powell platform bed set up we are now getting our best sleep on…this is a great value and made with top quality products, plus, it’s modern and beautiful, and will compliment any bedroom. For a more restful sleep and to wake up feeling more refreshed and not sore here, there and everywhere I highly recommend this platform bed.

And you have lots of storage space under the bed for bins of toys. Great for small rooms or apartments.. I am very impressed with the sturdiness of this frame, and you don't need a boxframe....
