The cookies taste good, but nothing unusual. These are rock hard cookies. I won’t buy again. First, I am at goal weight and can eat a treat, but I never have been a binge eater. I would get cravings sometimes. Usually it would be for proteins. So when I ate these as my “only cheat food”, and started feeling “like I could eat the whole pack at once,” I took it as an alert for me. So not sure if it is the wheat or added sugars causing the problem for me. When I stopped eating any of these cookies, my urge to binge eat anything and cravings stopped. Seems science research is divided on if wheat and/ or sugar causes cravings or binge eating. More research is needed. —- Different product - I gave our dog chicken nuggets that had a lot of wheat and low sugar. Normally, it takes a lot of coaxing to get him to eat. The nuggets he loved - but it caused him to want to binge eat anything urgently. So my armchair research at least for me and one husky is “Watch the wheat. Don’t eat.” Maybe we both metabolize wheat as a sugar alcohol(?)

These are dangerous. Proceed with caution.

Why did they change the recipe. I can no longer find the bag that DOESNT say butter on it :(

Today is March 10, 25. I received an email saying my order with 2 boxes of pepperidge farm chessmen cookies had been delivered!! However it had not! Now what to do?

This is an A1 cookie hands down. I use these cookies in banana pudding, just enjoy with tea, or share with family and friends. The buttery taste and just enough sweetness is a great balance. The price makes me happy too 👍

Target needs to get the expired foods off of their shelves better. I ordered for drive up pick up these cookies. They taste rancid. I looked at the expiration date and it’s expired.

This company makes perfect butter cookies. They are addictive….& delicious.!!!!!

I have a deep addiction to shortbread/butter cookies; Lorna Doone and Walker's are two faves but these P Farm Chessmen Butter Cookies are really among the very best I have tasted. Try a bag...you will be thrilled with the unique and marvelous taste. A true winner; great with a cupa ...tea or joe.

Best cookie I’ve ever eaten. They are so crunchy yet has a rich milky cheesy taste. You can’t go wrong with these. Only thing I like when they were 2.99 better compare to 3.99 now.

I bought several bags of these for a recipe, I had never tried them. Now these are one of my favorite they have a nice buttery crisp taste. Great by themselves or try them in banana pudding they are wonderful.

To be honest I have never eaten these but themselves. I don’t imagine that they have much flavor but I’m sure they’re good all things considered. These bad boys go on my banana pudding and are a hit every year!

I love to use these Chessmen cookies in banana pudding. They have the best shortbread tastes when you do. Thus far that's the only way we consume them.

Not my favorite thing. It was a whim purchase. Wanting something like Walker’s but without the Walker’s price. Not comparable at all. Probably good for other people though
