Mostly great but occasional quality control issues
My favorite peanut butter for my whole life but sometimes end up with bad product (hard/dry clumps, excess oil). Recently got seven jars to stock up. Three of them (all Best by AUG2027G2J 06:21) have an inch of oil on the top and dry/thick product at the bottom of the jar. When thoroughly mixed, it has the consistency of soup.

This is the second jar of peanut butter I've bought and there is thick clumps in it. I bought the larger jar last time and thought it was maybe just for me jar. Nope my new smaller jar has clumps too. Ughh I won't buy again

Not sure if it was a production issue with filling the jar or labeling it. There is not one chunk of a peanut in this jar. If I would have wanted creamy, I would have bought creamy. Very disappointed

Peter Pan peanut butter consumer for over 70 years; will still eat it at least 3-4 times a week. The last jar was purchased 2 days ago on 3-23-2026, opened today, and I would describe the consistency as "thick soup". Yes, there was oil on the top, at least 1/2 inch. Poured that off, stirred the peanut butter and the contents still drip off the spoon. Taste is less peanut, more salt. 40 oz jar of Creamy Peter Pan. Lot May 17 2762J 04:10. When purchasing again I will certainly do a better job of inspecting it.

I'm 81. I remember when Peter pan was the gold standard in peanut butter. After finishing a jar of GOOD peanut butter, I opened a jar of fresh Peter Pan. The first thing that hit me was the aroma. BURNT PEANUTS. My first spoonful, BURNT PEANUTS1 If I didn't live on a fixed budget I would have discarded the jar. I love peanut butter and jelly, peanut butter on toast, peanut butter and raisins. Not sure the batch number, but FYI. best by mar 1927Q1J 22:43.

POOR QUALITY OF PRODUCT IN DRIVE UP ORDERS
This large jar of Peter Pan peanut butter has a large amount of oil laying on top of the peanut butter in the jar. It looked this way when first opened. It is well within the expiry date (May 2026). I recently had another small sized jar that had the same. After I mixed in the oil - to try to salvage the jar - it had a horrible taste (and consistency (like runny pudding) and I did not feel well after eating - so that one as well as this one was tossed in the garbage. I unfortunately missed the return window on this jar - but still wanted to write a review. This is not the first item of poor quality that we’ve received from Target when doing a drive up order. Often times perishable items are very close to expiry date. I don’t think they are using the FIFO system in their warehouse for products that can expire . I’ve had milk, yogert and even canned green beans (usually dented cans) near the expiration date when I received them. While I LOVE the Drive Up Service that Target supplies and the ease of use of their Target app, I have to be careful as to what items I order from there - as they could be considered questionable for sale. Imptovememts need to be made to this system!

Great tasting peanut butter

Peter Pan Kid!!

A good tasting creamy peanut butter!

I'm usually a crunchy peanut butter type, but I think I will start stocking both kinds now. This peanut butter is creamy and my kids loved it. I would recommend, but do keep in mind there is added sugar in this, but it's minimal.
