I bought the Philips S 9000 Prestige shaver, which is very good, despite the cost of 4999 Swedish kronor. Unfortunately the travel case provided is too small and I am hoping to get the correct one - some day! The right case is important to protect both the charger and the shaver and had I been given the correct one I would have awarded five stars. Stop cutting yourself with antique razor blades and buy the best 9000 series shaver you can afford.

I have used foil razors and rotary razors but I keep coming back to Philips electric shavers. Using a method which breaks down the process into segments, I get a really great shave using shaving cream. The key is not to overload the electric shaver with the shaving cream. It’s a great device which is well worth having.

I just purchased the newest generation the S9000 Prestige SP9840 and I’m so glad I upgraded. This is the best iteration of the Philipsline so far. I always got a good shave but this one is amazing. I am surprised they could make the best better but this product proves it’s possible!

The shaving heads are too far back from the edge of the blade body and for some very strange reason my modal is not suitable to work with any of the cleaning pods, ????? Come on Philip's you can do better

After many years of using a normal razor, I had changed to an electric shaver. Since I started using the latest shaver, I have now found a shaver that now completely meets my expectations of a great smooth shave. An added benefit is I do not experience the nicks on my aging face caused by a razor. Very happy with the Phillips shaver.

I've been using Philips rotary head razors for maybe 25 years or more. I change the razor after I find the battery no longer keeps it's full charge. I may be on my fourth one. I buy the high end model when I change. I like how this type of shaver shaves my face. I feel there is no need to change to another system for shaving. I don't see the need to change to another system for shaving. I like the wireless charging feature. After cleaning the head and blades, I simply sit the razor on to the wireless changer. Easy to charge wihtout having to plug in a charger cable to the razor unit. The key part of the quality of the save and feel is the types of blades, and head system.
This razor works amazingly well.

This razor is incredibly quiet, shaves incredibly well, and lives up to the hype. I must say that I don't much like how much plastic is "lateral" to the cutting heads since that makes it somewhat more difficult to shave up to a border. I have been able to cope with it, it just seems a bit awkward. I am disappointed that the trimmer is not "attached" to the razor, but that is a very minimal complaint. I was very surprised, since I don't shave everyday, at how well the razor cut through 3-day growth and did it with as much comfort as with 1-day growth! Truly a quality product. Highly recommended!

I don’t have a problem with the shaver other than the size of the shaving head makes it a little more difficult to get into those tight areas like around the nose. It is also difficult to determine exactly where the cutting heads are when trimming when shaving in front of the ears where the side buns are. In my opinion, a more compact area around each of the shaving heads would all for more control. I wanted to purchase the cleaning pod but had a difficult time determining if this shaver was compatible. Turns out it is compatible but it does not time itself to automatically shut off after 1 minute. When you purchase the top of the line shaver, the cleaning pod should have been included. A lack of information made it difficult to purchase the pod. The website was of little help. It is included with lower priced units which does not make sense. I also don’t like the charger. It is another piece of hardware that you have to store or sits on your counter. When traveling, it is another item that you have to pack. There is no ability to charge the shaver without the charging pad.
