I have been very disappointed with the last 3 boxes I have purchased . The pie crust has a complete different texture, taste and roll out ability. I don't like making my own crust but will have to in future or experiment with store brands instead of using pillsbury roll out pie crust. The cost has risen and the product has not improved. Please go back to your old recipe.

Pillsbury prerolled pie crusts -Simply THE Best!

These crusts are consistently and unfailingly excellent every use. Have used them for years, and will continue until I can no longer afford them. They have gotten quite expensive everywhere, except at the holidays where you can buy a six pack for a reasonable price. They taste great, they are flaky and hold together perfectly. Prebaked, they do not leak. That’s why I’ll always recommend them!

I've used Pillsbury pie crusts for years. The box I opened today - well, something seemed wrong. The uncooked crust smelled "off". I then came to the website to see if others had reported any issues and it looks like many bakers are experiencing "differences" with the crust. Not wanting to ruin my meal, I threw the Pillsbury crusts away and ran to the store, buying a store brand. What's going on? I'll continue checking back here for reviews, and will not purchase more Pillsbury crusts until bakers become more pleased with the product.

Pillsbury has messed with success: such a disappointment that a valued , familiar product is so dramatically different. The crust is smaller, thinner, softer, more homogenous (not as flaky) and shrunk so upon blind baking as to be too small for even an 8 inch plate. This change to the formulation means no more weeknight pot, shepherd’s

You really need to make your pie crusts a tiny bit larger. The edges never reach to the top of my pie plates. Otherwise they are good.

Great for apple empanadas or whatever fruit you choose. Roll it out and use a round cookie cutter. Can’t go wrong with this dough.

I have been using these pie crusts for DECADES and the ones I have attempted to cook with this year have been atrocious. What changed with this recipe? It tastes like oil, doesn’t cook the same and gave everyone immense heartburn and indigestion. I won’t buy again until pillbury formally tells people they went back to the previous recipe

Shorten pie making time with Pillsbury ! I started using them cause to be honest I suck at making pie crust homemade. Simply make sure they are defrosted and use them. I made delicious apple pie that everyone loved yesterday( use the Pillsbury recipe online). Have used this product multiple times with amazing results always.

I was so nervous after reading all the reviews that my leftover Turkey Pot Pie would be a complete failure. It came out to be the best Pot Pie I have ever made. It turned out to be the best Pot Pie I've ever had and Husband agrees. The crust was so buttery golden and flakey. It was not soggy on the bottom at all. ( Parbaked bottom crust ) Hopefully all those who had the terrible experience just got part of a bad batch. Cooked in a 9" Glass Pie Dish.

I thought it was me until I read the other reviews. I’ve used these crusts for years with no problems. This year I made an apple pie for Thanksgiving. It tasted different and the crust didn’t get done. Tried another apple pie at Christmas. Same thing happened even though I baked it for a longer amount of time. Guess I’ll start making my own.

Always been a huge fan of Pillsbury Pet-Ritz frozen pie crust. Have used them many years, The ones I bought didn't have Pet- Ritz written on the package. The ones I bought this Holiday season didn't taste the same. After baking Pecan Pie for 70 minutes, and the cooling for 2 hours. When I sliced, the bottom of crust was gooey and stuck to bottom of pan, and taste isn't the same. What has happened?
1 reply from Pillsbury Care Team team - 5 months ago
We're so sorry that your pie didn't turn out as expected using our frozen crust. You can always try to lightly moisten a paper towel with vegetable oil and rub it over the surface of the pie dish to prevent the crust from sticking. We will certainly pass your review on to our team. If you'd like to share more about your experience, you can reach out to us using the 'Contact Pillsbury' form linked at the bottom of our site. Thanks.

this used to be the best pie crust. I don't bake a pie often, but often enough to notice the change. Christmas 2022 will be the last time I use this crust. it's too small. don't even attempt to use a 9 inch deep dish pie pan. there is not one crumb of extra dough so there won't be enough to trim the pie with. it's also become a very thin crust. barely noticable as part of the pie. next time, i'll make my own.
