Completely useless, it should just come as a disk you have to roll out yourself. I guess now that there is no paper between the layers pilsbury decided to save money on flour and no longer flour the layers so they could actually be unrolled. I was hoping these would be an option now that they’ve reduced the dough in their pre-formed crusts to the point that you can see the pan through the dough, but I guess not.

So, usually my husband makes his own pie crust. He has RA and this year he just couldn't do it. America's Test Kitchen and my friend Cheryl recommended Pillsbury Refrigerated Pie Crust. I had high hopes. We were both very disappointed. It reminded me of my sister-in-law's pie the year she experimented with lard vs vegetable shortening. It was heavy and not at all flaky. I wonder if you might consider using vegetable shortening. We used to use Crisco but in recent years switched to Spectrum which we like better. As for us, I guess if we can't make our own crust, we won't be eating pie for the holidays.

I have a food allergy to all mammals (beef, pork, lamb, etc) and in food products made from animals (milk cheese, lard) due to a tick bite. The allergy is called Alpha-gal allergy. This has become a huge problem in the Midwest, south and parts of the north east. Please note that there is lard in your refrigerated pie crust. It should be listed as an allergy on your ingredients. The only way to prevent this allergy is to avoid eating mammalian food. I have spent two very miserable days trying to figure out what I ate to cause a reaction. It was the LARD in the pie crust. Please reevaluate the ingredients in all of the pie crust and alert the consumer of the problem. Thank you for your cooperation

The site says bake single crust at 400…..the box says 450 ….baked 2 pie shells at 450 and they shrunk so badly I could only get 1/2 the pudding filling in them. Another site said bake at 350! So for a single crust shell for lemon meringue pie, just which temp do I use ??

I use a glass anchor hocking 9 inch pie plate and follow the instructions for a pre-baked crust but the crust always shrinks down the sides while baking. It could be because the crust isn’t big enough for the pan which is not a deep dish pan and I have to stretch it out if I want to flute the crust around the edge, otherwise there isn’t enough material to fold under and flute.

Usually this is a 5-star product. But both of the crusts in my recent purchased were not properly sealed and so the crusts were dried-out, tough, and broken. So disappointed and hoping this was a one-time hiccup and not the new manner of packaging.

This pie crust was really easy to unroll but definitely shrink too much for a 9" pie plate. I reduced the heat to 400 degrees and the crust shrank about 50%. These might work on a very shallow pie plate.

I have used the frozen crust many times for pies and my quiche recipes. I like the time saving element. Lately, I have encountered problems. Even when no filling oozes through the crust, it seems that the sides stick to the aluminum pan. This precludes a firm complete slice. Additionally, my past two packages had cracked crusts. Although I trust the Pillsbury brand, I detect a quality problem.

Very disappointed with the last two pie crusts we have purchased. When baked for a one crust pie as per directions. The crust shrinks away from edges and the crust is very tough and hard, next to impossible, to cut? What causes this to happen? Signed. Very disappointed in Arizona. Becky.

Something isn’t right with this. After cooked, it smells like rotten chicken! We are all just sick over this smell right now and worse - when I purchased this the same brand of pie dough at thanksgiving, the exact same thing happened and it ruined the entire pie!!! Something is terribly wrong with these ingredients. It’s not safe.
