Guests are saying
The pie crusts are praised for their flavor and convenience, making them a go-to choice for many guests. However, there are significant concerns regarding their size and tendency to shrink during baking, which affects the overall presentation and usability for standard pie dishes. While some guests appreciate the ease of use and the taste, others express disappointment over the shrinking issue, leading to a desire for larger options or improvements in quality.

Too small for a 9 inch pie tin
It’s so thin and it shrinks a lot! It doesn’t fit a 9 inch pie tin. It only goes up the sides but there’s absolutely no way to make a border to crimp. The outcome was ok. I usually make mine from scratch but was having trouble adjusting the recipe to make it dairy free for a milk allergy so I went with this store bought one. I used some of the second piece to add it to the borders of the main piece I was using so that I could crimp it.

Contains lard
PSA these pie crusts have lard in them!!! Most store bought pie crusts have lard in them so keep that in mind if you’re a vegetarian/vegan or eat only halal/kosher.

Disappointed.
Where to start…I use to love these pie crust but not anymore. As a professional home economist, I know I should make my own pie crust. I have now been pushed over the edge. The quality has been going down and my Thanksgiving pumpkin pies were made out of dried out nasty looking pie crust that was used before the best date to use by.

Thanksgiving Pumpkin pi ruined
I am furious. I have used these pie crusts for years and have never had this happen. Crusts slid down the side of the pie plate. What a presentation this will be at Thanksgiving. What have you done to your pie crust? I also think they are much smaller than they used to be. Thanks for the ruined pumpkin pie!

Negative
Have been using Pillsbury pie crust for over 20 years. Will stop as the pie crust is too small for 9in pie plate!! Hardly any dough on edges looks bad. They have made the dough to small now! Will not use any longer.

Size unsatisfactory
I see pillsbury has adopted the less product for same price philosophy for your rolled pie shells. This is very unsatisfactory as I NEED MORE DOUGH!!!! Shrinking the product definitely does NOT work in this case. Please give us more dough!

Very Disappointed
I was going to make 2 Quiches today 11/22/25 for tomorrows brunch when the in-laws arrive. I bought the 2 pie crusts that expire Dec 19, 2025. Both were very hard to unroll meaning that they stuck to itself. 1 was a total loss and could not be used because it was all in pieces. the 2nd was in half pieces and I used some of the first to cover the gaps. I never in my 30 years of baking had any problems with your piecrust until now. Quality is very sad.

What happened to the crust!
I have been using these pie crust my entire life. Im not sure what happened, but the last three times I have gotten them, it sticks to itself causing holes, and when you get to the inside of the roll it completely cracks. So disappointing. If there was another good option for refrigerated dough, I would be done buying it. Its ruined so many pies now.

Pie crusts niw unusable
I have been using the crusts for years but just tried 3 different boxes. Not sure what they have done but the crusts are now unusable. Wont fit my pie plate anymore and shrinks. Must have changed the recipe or made them with less dough. Completely ruined a great product. Unusable.

Unhappy with size change
I have happily used these pie crusts for years. Unfortunately, the size is now significantly smaller. Now they barely fit my pie pans. Very disappointed. I think I’ll try some other brands.

Poor quality dough
I recently purchased your pie crust which I have used numerous times over the years and never experienced an issue like this before. The crust was dry and crumbly and basically was useless. I’m a loyal customer but this was very disappointing. I have pictures of the product, the bar code , the date and packaging if you want to see what I had to deal with.

Refrigerated pie crust
I have been using these crusts for decades and my pies always came out excellent. Even if I use flour (as I always did) or now spray with Pam the bottom crusts always stick to the pan and I need to soak and scrape to get it out. Very disappointed in your product and will not be buying until you go back to the original recipe.

Disappointed
I have been using these pie crust for so many, many years. They were a solid go to when I didn't have the energy to make my own. They have gotten slowly thinner and smaller, but this year they have gone too far! They are so small they barely reach on a shallow glass pie pan, so thin you rip them when unrolling them and can't support even the lightest of pies. Furthermore, they are sticking horribly to the pan! Used to be you didn't need to grease or flour, you could just pop in the crust directly! Now if you do that you need to chisel at it. That's not even touching on the bland flavor. What happened to the buttery, flakey crust we depended on? Utterly disappointed with Pillsbury.

As good as homemade
I've quit making homemade pie crusts since trying Pillsbury's crusts. They taste the same as homemade and save a lot of work. Normally use them to bake pumpkin and apple pies.
