A: I got 2 to keep the kids school papers and art in. They have been stacked only 2 high for maybe 5 years and the bottom one has broken at the corner. Just a crack down it along the side at the bottom and the plastic side is bowed out some. That was just papers and stuff.

It is possible that there may be some residual acids present in the material used to produce this product which can occur during the polymerization process but steps are taken during the production process to eliminate as much of the acid as possible. Unfortunately, there could still be some trace amounts present.
