They've been made to a full 2 mil thickness for exceptional resistance to punctures and splits, even when dealing with rough refuse. This is an excellent bag for outdoor use, or in warehouses and commercial kitchens. USA made and finished with a gusset seal. The gusset consists of expanding folds, like the pleats in a skirt, for a bit of extra room when dealing with heavy or awkwardly-shaped loads. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Our POA recently went with the option for the extra large 96 gallon trash cans on rollers. These bags are more than ample in size so there is no struggling stretching the bag to fit the can. The size easily allows for lapping over the rim and the large rubber bands secures the bag in place.

95-96 gallon trash bags
I had to stretch the 65 gallon that I had been using to fit my cart. These work better although they fit pretty loose which requires the rubber band to keep them in place. Maybe an 80 gallon size would be perfect. Happy overall.
