Q: The description states that any game “installed” on the PS5 will work with the portal. Does that mean the portal will only work with digital games? Or is it compatible with physical games? Both?

Ultimately I decided I would not be keeping this. Along I like the convenience of playing this from my bed and not using remote play on my phone, it has too many limitations. I will be returning this to just get an iPad mini since it’s something I want and can get more us off. Back to this, you have to have a realllyyy good WiFi connection. Even on my home WiFi, the connection would drop or be so bad that the graphics become pixelated. Most times, I had to go turn my ps on from rest mode because the portal wouldn’t activate it. I have all the right settings but it only does it 1/3 times. Previously I used to use my ps controller with my phone attached to it. This portal is HUGE. You would be better off using a backbone controller also. I personally like to talk on the phone and play games so buying the portal was my way of fixing that issue. You can’t use any of the media apps. Playing online sucks because it lags. I truly wanted to like this but hopefully they improve it without hiking the price up too much

This is a great idea but however the limitations that is on this thing makes it difficult to want to keep. It’s really difficult to want to keep things device when I can’t play or have access to whatever game I want to play that Sony premium has to offer. The concept is amazing but the limitations that on this device is the reason why I don’t think it’s worth purchasing. All of it so that it doesn’t out sale the ps5 which is dumb.

It's a cool device but it's not needed. My hands are probably too big for it, as some games are a bit more difficult to control with it. You need to have good internet connection and I'll recommend getting a dock so you can just place it on to charge. Also a traveling case if you do move around alot. I like it overall.

Here’s what i think about the portal I think it’s a good console but sometimes it laggs when you connect it to your ps5 but you can’t use YouTube Netflix or other media apps on the portal wouldn’t recommend it for people with a weak WiFi

the frames didn't look that bad but while playing any game there was the slightest delay compared to playing with just a controller on a tv that ruins the whole experience, and you can't watch any media apps like YouTube or hulu, it's really just a controller with a screen for $200

So I bought this because I was going on a week long trip to visit family and didn’t want to be away from a certain (addictive) game for that long. I bought this after being uncertain about it for over a year. Boy was I wrong. I had such a fluid and great experience playing my PS5 remotely from hundreds of miles away. Granted my PlayStation is hard wired to my router at home and the place I stayed had great wifi. I don’t think you’ll get the same experience if you aren’t on a solid WiFi. The screen is beautiful and the controller feels great in the hands. It’s lightweight and holds the charge pretty well. You will definitely need to buy a traveling case for it because it is long and the analog sticks probably need to be protected. For $200 this is pretty sick. I recommend!

When I bought the white one 2 years ago I wasn't crazy about it. Just wanted to test it out, and It had some problems, at the time, like it had some delay while playing remotely and it kept disconnected my ps5 due to some lack of wireless connections. I return it the next day and never buy it again. Or so I thought, until Playstation announced the midnight black bundle edition. So I decided to it another chance and I must it really better for me to play the portal, especially I can take it on the go with my Playstation membership platinum then connect to my ps5 remote.
Great accessory for at home or on the go.

Love the fact that I can get on the PS5 and play even if the kids want to watch something out front. Games run just as smooth as on the TV. No lag or stuttering. I do recommend getting a screen protector for it. Better to spend $10 on one than take a chance of scratching the screen.

I can't count how many times this thing had disconnected from my PS5. Constantly lags even at my house on the same network my PS5 is on. I see why it's worth 200 but it's advertised as 1080p 60 fps. And does absolutely none of that. I used multiple strong networks and all resulted the same. Ranging from 2.5 ghz to 5 ghz.

I love the new midnight black color way , it matched my ps5 perfectly. As for the system it self, it’s very nice, the screen is really bright and vibrant. If you have PlayStation plus premium then you can stream games to it, without even owning a ps5 at all, which is really good and convenient. Couldn’t recommend enough. 5 stars

Works perfectly and seems to me that it’s a better build quality than the white version as I have both. If you have a good to great internet connection or even hotspot you will get a great streaming experience out of this device.
