Q: What is the difference in the color 600 film and the color I-type film?

submitted by Ninji sunshinr - 4 years ago
  • A: The only difference is i-Type film pack has no included battery and is mainly for New Polaroid Original cameras. Some users transfer i-Type film to an empty 600 package.

submitted byArtists - 3 years ago
  • A: Hello! Regarding your question about the Polaroid Originals Color Film for 600 - Double Pack: The important difference between 600 and i-Type film is the absence of a battery inside the film cartridge. This means that i-Type film will not work with vintage Polaroid cameras. If you have any additional questions, please do not hesitate to contact MyTGTtech at 877-698-4883 every day, between 7am-11pm CST.

Q: would this film be compatible with a new Polaroid now+ ?

submitted by Derrell - 9 months ago

Q: The description says it's a double pack but contains 40 photos, which is the same as the 5 pack. How many photos come with this?

submitted by NotKate - 2 years ago
  • A: The double pack contains 16 photos.

Q: what is the date of the packs?

submitted by Delilah - 3 years ago
  • A: Since the film sells through quickly and we are regularly restocking, we can't say for sure what exact date will be on the particular film pack you will receive, but it will always be fresh. Each pack of film is marked with a Production Date, so you should use the film within 12 months after the production date stamped on the box.

submitted by jenn - 4 years ago

Love that target carries Polaroid film for my old camera! The price point is fair compared to other sellers (although still steep, but not targets fault) Whatever you do, do NOT bring them through airport security. Make sure to pull them out of your carry on before the scanner to be hand checked

We really enjoyed this polaroid film pack. It was great to capture the moment and give the picture to guests that day. The film turned out great. They are new stock of 600 film, not something from the 90s so they are still high quality.

the film was expired, resulting in darker than normal pictures.
1 reply from Polaroid Support team - 2 years ago
Hi Bee, the date stamped on the film box is the production date, not the expiration date, so your film is fresh. It was manufactured in May of 2021. Additionally, the film itself cannot cause dark images, so this would be due to shooting photos in low light or standing too far away from your subject when using flash. Please make sure to always use flash indoors and have your subjects stand 3-4 feet from the camera for best results, with a background or wall behind them to bounce the flash back to the camera, making brighter images.

Ever since I found out that Polaroid originals was able to come back and make film for the 600 Polaroid cameras I immediately had to do some research! If you look on their website, they provide helpful information with making sure that you do your best to get the quality that you’re wanting. Doesn’t always work but hey, they’re clearly letting you know that the film in itself is hard to make in this generation. Also the date on the box doesn’t mean it’s expired on that month and year, you have 6 months to use that film! I’ve been happy with the film ever since I found out that my 600 vintage camera works, I have invested in purchasing the film. 20 bucks for 8 pictures isn’t really all that bad, I mean c’mon they made a comeback and we are lucky to have film for the 600 Polaroid cameras!
1 reply from Polaroid Support team - 2 years ago
Hi Ochaco, Thanks for your review, and we're happy to hear you're enjoying the film! Just a note, the date stamped on the box is the production date, and we recommend using the film within 12 months of that date for best results.

The pictures seem dark. I’m not sure if it’s a film problem or the camera problem, but i just bought the camera.
1 reply from Polaroid Support team - 2 years ago
Hi Hannah, The film itself can't cause photos to be dark. Only the camera can cause that, or it could be that you were standing too far away from your subject. Please contact our customer service team at usa (at) polaroid (dot) com and we can provide some helpful tips.

I bought 3 backs of this film bc it said it would work for my Polaroid. I’ve never bought this one before. I used the i-type always. I wanted to try something new and all of the photos turned out dark. Upset and now broke
1 reply from Polaroid Support team - 2 years ago
We're sorry to hear about this! Just so you know, the film itself cannot cause dark photos, so this points to a problem with your camera, or your technique. Please contact our customer service team directly at usa@polaroid.com and we can help you.

Bought this recently and I expected it to be good since the price is so high. However it was the opposite. My first pack of film did not develop at all. No photos came out so it was a waste. My second pack was better though, and those pictures came out great. I guess it just depends.

I've been buying this specific brand for years and all the photos have come out great. Regarding reviews with only a few stars, when buying you have to be aware that mistreating the film will damage it, like keeping it in the sun or in hot places!
