A: Hello Sara, Our fire pit tables are designed so that the bottom portion is just meant to house the propane tank, and it should not produce any actual heat. All of that will be limited to the top of the table, in the glass fire portion. So yes, it should be perfectly safe for your wood deck. Thanks, Heather

A: Hello, The glass wind guard is needed when using the fire table. Not only will it protect small hands from reaching the fire directly, but is also protects the recycled plastic table from potentially being damage on a windy day. I really enjoy my fire pit table. Living in the south, it's not a year round item but for the fall and winter it's the perfect way to unwind on a chilly night. Would your company ever consider making an insert for the center of the table? During the warmer months it would be a great option to turn it into a flat top table when I can't use it as a fire pit.

We first experienced this table in Gatlinburg at a cabin we stayed in. Loved it so much, we Google lensed it to find the same one! It's made well, it's beautiful, and it's WARM! It was so easy to put together, our 15 year old son did it. Highly recommend!

Polywood overall has good quality. Love the final result but a bit disappointed in the quality control of the assembly. Specifically on our firepit the bottom base was assembled incorrectly such that the top section did not drop fit into the base. Two corners were on the wrong way and required almost complete disassembly in order to make the two pieces fit. My husband has now assembled 23 pieces between our home and my sons and he has also experienced numerous instances where there holes do not line up properly to make assembly as easy as it should be. He is a journeyman carpenter and knew how to adapt but for the money we’ve payed it should not have been necessary.

We love our new firepit and chairs. The cushions are amazing, so comfortable! The swival chairs were not difficult to put together. I had anticipated it being more work! It took 4 hours to put 6 chairs and the firepit together. While putting them together we knew these were great quality, which was reassuring after paying the price for these. But, we get snow here and warm weather. I have no doubt we will be sitting out here and enjoying for YEARS. Thank you polywood for making a quality product. That is difficult to find these days.

Nice fire pit would have given it 5 stars except the glass guard sits freely on top of the table instead of securely fitting into a grove inside the bowl area. Afraid it might slide off the table if someone accidentally hit the table.
