Prequel Facial Gleanser Cleanser - 13.5 fl oz

This was the most drying cleanser I’ve used in forever! At the same time I feel a sticky film that won’t rinse off. I hated the experience so much that I won’t try it a second time. I’m stunned because I expected it to be soothing and thought that I’d love it based on positive feedback. Maybe it’s just me. I have mature, combo/dry skin.

The texture of this is gooey and that can be annoying especially if you’re trying to rinse it away but it’s super moisturizing. I use it as morning a cleanse and occasionally as my evening second cleanse when I think my skin needs a little more moisture. But I love it as a second (or third) body cleanser. Stripping first cleanse then gently exfoliate then finish off with the gleanser on an exfoliating glove to add back and retain the moisture and oolala.

It’s a nice cleanser. Like the gel and that it lathers a bit

I bought this two months ago and it’s been a game changer. It has made my face smooth and soft. Less breakouts and doesn’t irritate my skin. I’m happy i found a product that works very good on my sensitive face.

My new holy grail cleanser! Makes my skin feel clean but also hydrated. Never had a cleanser truly be able to do both!

Was influenced by a skincare influencer on TikTok and was very skeptical. Bought the travel size and was immediately obsessed. Now it is My favorite cleanser. Seriously my holy grail and I have extremely sensitive skin. I get oily in my t zone, it does not make it worse and does not break me out. I’m obsessed and have stopped using all my other cleansers for this one!

Extremely happy with this cleanser! A little goes a long way and it doesn’t bother my rosacea or perioral dermatitis!! It also gets all my makeup and sunscreen off without leaving me feeling dry or dehydrated.

My daughter-in-law turned me on to Prequel during a visit, she uses it. I have not used anything else on my face since! I absolutely love it! My face feels more moisturized afterwards, and very smooth. I use it with a soft exfoliating facial pad. At 72, I get a lot of compliments on not having a lot of wrinkles and good skin.

I absolutely love (adore!) this cleanser. I have very dry, sensitive, reactive skin and this gentle cleanser removes dirt without stripping. It perfectly sets the stage for the next steps in my skincare routine. Over a few weeks of use, my skin has a bounce and a glow.

Broke me out so bad, not worth the hype. It’s so difficult to wash off your face.

I have only been using this for 1 week but compared to some of my other 2nd cleansers ( I have a lot)this one is a definite winner. I’m amazed at the lather I get from barely a pump, yet my skin feels amazing, not stripped nor that horrid tight feeling you get from some others. I’m a fan for life.

It’s literally like one of the best concerts I ever used. It’s been eight months and I just ran out of it. I would say for the price. It’s so good.

All over my body, I have extremely, cracked dry skin from Sjogren’s disease and eczema. Gleanser has made a huge difference over La Roche Posay Oil Cleanser, Dove Sensitive Bar, and forget about any “natural” cleansers. I don’t feel like each shower is stripping my skin and this can clean 3 days of clinical strength deodorant layers. When I get out of the shower I don’t feel like I have to run straight for Crisco (yep, that’s my moisturizer while my skin is still wet per my dorm’s reco). This is better than any of the recos from Sjogren’s org. Hint… hint… try to get on their list.

I love how hydrating it leaves my skin, it does feel hard to wash off, I do not recommend this bottle for acne prone skin, I don’t typically get white heads but this gave a lot of white heads. I will be trying the blue lid bottle with salicylic acid instead.

The ONLY cleanser my eczema prone skin actually loves. Been using this for months and never notices my clothes weren’t riddled with dry skin or I didn’t itch. Until today when I used an Olay bar with shea butter. I was quickly reminded and saw the evidence everywhere. Works better than oatmeal soaps or soaps tagged with the eczema approval. Try this - it really works.

I have dry sensitive skin. I appreciate that the Gleanser has left my skin smooth and hydrated. I use only a small mount of Gleanser, but despite my adding water, massaging and working up a good lather, Gleanser is very difficult to rinse off. Im left with a film on my face after using much water. Not trying for squeaky clean, but do need to remove makeup, sunscreen, etc. I welcome any suggestions.

I wanted to love this. I love the viscosity, the foam, the way my skin feels after. But it broke. Me. Out. I am 35 and haven't dealt with breakouts for years. And my chin, cheeks, and forehead are covered with little breakouts snd whiteheads and clogged pores. I previously used cerave face wash (for nearly a decade) and wanted to try this because of the value of the size and cost. Will be switching back to my tried and true!
