If you are looking for a desktop globe with all of the features this is the one you want. A well designed dual 2 in 1 raised relief map which features a physical map design when not illuminated and a political map when illuminated. This map contains 1,000’s of up to date place names and locations.
The stand is a stained hardwood lens base with a metal numbered meridian. As with most illuminated globes, the cord exits the South Pole meridian connection and is outfitted with an inline switch for easy operation.
The raised relief feature are small rises in the globes surface indicating mountain ranges. There are very few illuminated globes that feature this design, and this is one of them.
