Worked great for 8 month but then all of a sudden it won't turn on. Tried all the tips and tricks, even a new outlet all that. It just died

Love having the ability to easily and quickly make rice and steam veggies. Great product.

Prefer larger but I haven’t gotten this one to make good rice yet

So much more handy having the 10 cup cooked capacity to cook rice and veggies at the same time.

It does not overcook the rice, but it spits steam onto the countertop.

Looks fabulous, well built. The pot is 10 cups, though not designed for 10 cups of rice. It is nice sized and fits well in a kitchen.

It makes our lives super easy because we cook rice alot

There are patches of rice that are wet and very soft, compared to most of the rice, which are dry when cooked.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really love the Proctor 10 cup rice cooker/steamer. It is so easy to clean and most of the components are dishwasher safe. The automatic warm features makes it possible to put your food in before you go to work and have it cooked perfectly when you get home. While you can fit 5 cups of uncooked rice in the cooker it is compact and does not take a huge amount of storage space.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This isn't the most technologically equipped rice cooker in the market but it does what it claims and gets the job done. The size of the rice cooker is sufficient for a small household and ideal for people living by themselves. It's not made of the best or most quality of materials but the rice cooker is lightweight and portable and comes with what you need to make rice conveniently. This includes the rice cooker, the pot, a glass lid, a rice scooper, a measuring cup, and a steamer basket attachment. The rice it prepares isn't the most consistent and it seems the heating is not the most even, so there are some areas of the rice that is more cooked than the rest. However, I'm not too picky when it comes to perfect quality rice as I mostly use it as a medium for the main dishes. The power cord isn't that long so you will need to situate the rice cooker close to an outlet. I'm also not thrilled that the included steamer basket is made of plastic and wish it was made of a safer material made for high heat. However, that detail does not make the product a deal breaker for me as the main and most important function for me is that the rice cooker makes rice easily at the swipe of the switch. Overall, this is good for college students and for those temporarily living on their own but still want to eat rice regularly.

I cooked brown rice, so I don't know if the cooker is supposed to cook them the same as white rice, but I did have to watch the rice and make sure it didn't burn. The rice ended up cooked to perfection before the cooker stopped cooking by itself. I still prefer to use this instead of cooking on the stove.
