[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Lorex is a terrible company to shop with. No sales support. Deceptive pricing. Don’t respond to emails. The camera video is highly compressed making resolution almost a moot point. It randomly disconnects. Not ideal.

I hate this doorbell camera that I purchased like 3 years ago. I also have 32 lorex cameras ranging from a 2k to a 4k 12x zoom ptz’s and this is by far the worst product I’ve purchased from them. It’s constantly disconnecting, people come to the door and the video feed freezes, stops working, etc. when they ring the doorbell, sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t. I will NEVER recommend this doorbell to anyone.

Doorbell says no storage. Now I have to remove it and check to see if it has a micro sd card. If it does, I’ll have to ask for a replacement. If replacement doesn’t work, then I’ll have to do an RMA on the doorbell. Turned off all alerts snd notifications except people. The doorbells are very progressive. The doorbell on back door recognized my dog as a person which I appreciated :).

Constant notifications. Apparently my trash cans are now vehicles, because the camera sends me constant notifications. Also the vertical camera thing was cute but I just see a lot of floor and a lot of ceiling. I miss my old doorbell. It is nice though, that it has local storage and approach lights

Ring night vision is exponentially better. This doorbell pixelizes badly in low light situations with a ton of digital noise. It also has a very narrow vertical aspect ratio that I do not like.

I like the ability to save recordings locally unlike Ring where you need to pay to save on the cloud. You may have the ability to see a full body view but in live view you see a lot of the sky. Ring shows more side to side which gives you wider view. The resolution was less than I expected. Since I installed it about six months ago, I have received two false doorbell rings. I think both times it happened when it was raining lightly. I have also had three times the doorbell went offline. I am not too happy that I have to reset it each time.
