SP is made with a special heat process much hotter than pasteurization temperatures so the unopened product is safe without refrigeration. Must be stored in a cool, dry place until ready to eat. SP may be refrigerated and then brought back to room temperature before consuming. They are safe as long as they are unopened. Opened Snack Pack (which includes that used in recipes) should be refrigerated to ensure food safety and quality. The maximum time it can be refrigerated is three (3) days.
