My son and I baked this apple pie for dessert on 4th of July. We both were literally blown away at how good it was! The texture of the filling was great, the crumb topping was great, and the crust was great. But the overall flavor was simply phenomenal--possibly the best apple pie I have ever had in my life! I followed the directions on the package as closely as possible and the results were flawless. What an amazing product! Can't wait to try other pies!

Everything good was closed by the time we decided we wanted dessert on July 4th, so we grabbed this bake-at-home Dutch apple pie. The crust came out nicely — golden and crisp. But the filling just didn’t work for us: not enough apples, overly sweet, sticky texture, and the sugary crumble topping overwhelmed everything. It filled the dessert gap in a pinch, but we won’t be buying it again. Honestly, I’d rather make my own pie next time.

When I removed the plastic wrap I saw a dark grey tinge to some of the pie crust and was worried it was moldy or some gear oil from the production line rubbed off on it. I checked the expiration date and it’s still good. So off to the web I went and noticed it could possibly be oxidized pie crust. I cut off the parts I could see easily. It’s in the oven now and it’ll be 3 hours before I can test if it is really safe to eat. Wish me luck. Will not purchase again, shouldn’t have to worry.

This Dutch apple pie was very tasteless we where moving into a new place and very exhausted to cook do grabs some frozen meals and a Dutch apple pie to reward the hard labor, cook the pie not juicy and the toppings not so tasty so we just left on the stove toss it in garage the next day.

Pie pan is so cheap that when I was taking the pie out of the oven it buckled and almost fell on my feet. Why make things so cheap that could cause an injury.

Bought this pie on the first. Stayed frozen until today when i baked it according to instructions. The cook was fine.. I really wanted to love this. I love Marie calendars everything…this was an impulse buy, but I’m on disability and it’s important to me that i spend my money wisely. I agree with a common observation about the fill8ng. Not tart or acidic enough, not the right apples…and mine had an almost medicinal taste…a very slight but noticeable boozy/medicinal taste. I don’t think i would recommend, but i would be willing to try other pies. Peace

We just tried the Dutch Apple pie and it tasted really good. The fruit was good, however the crust stayed stuck to the sides. Other than that no other complaint. Pie was delicious.

I like almost everything about this pie. The crust is flaky and delicious, the flavor is perfect, and the crumb topping is crunchy and very tasty. But the apples are sliced too thick and have a rubbery texture only found in frozen apples. Their texture mars what could be a perfect old-fashioned apple pie. Marie Callender was famous for her homemade pies. I don't think she would approve. Use fresh apples instead.

This pie is so delicious. My whole family loves when I make pies like this. The ingredients are fresh and very filling. It’s definitely worth the time and effort put into making this for dessert. The texture is just how you would imagine an apple hot apple pie to be. The crunchy topping is my favorite. It’s sweet but not too sweet. It’s the perfect combination to make. I’m happy to serve my family there pies.

Disappointed. Mrs. Smith's is better. The reason being it is loaded up with a thick sauce, very few apples. Couldn't even slice it it was too much sauce.

First of all, you get a good amount of pie. The pie is dense and well-filled. The crumbs on top may seem overwhelming but actually it’s not too much. The crumbles add a different texture element that you don’t expect from a pie. You would expect that the crumbs would make it too sweet but it doesn’t. I appreciate that this pie isn’t a sugar explosion. It’s an appropriate balance of sweetness and flavor and texture.
