The key to my vegetarian cheesesteaks 🩷
I'm going to be honest, I accidently bought these about 3 or 4 years ago because I thought they were like actual like ground beef consistency but then realized they are actually closer to cheesesteak consistency I'm a South Jersey girl that didn't grow up vegetarian (became a vegetarian at 10 years old) and one thing I did miss eating were cheesesteaks, and this pretty much solved my dilemma with that These taste fantastic to me because I actually season my food, if you don't know how to properly season food these aren't going to taste good. So before buying these, ask yourself if you know how to use seasoning, if you do, proceed to buy it and enjoy it! if you struggle in the seasoning department, brush up on how to season food and then buy it But yes, 10/10 will buy this every single time to make my vegetarian cheesesteaks

New recipe is horrible
This used to be an absolute staple of my diet. I cannot begin to describe how many dishes I used it in. The “new improved” recipe is HORRIBLE. I cannot stand it at all. It is awful and I’m so sad and disappointed. I’ll never buy it again and any morning star product with “new improved recipe” on the bag will be a total pass for me!

So disgusting and inedible
Absolutely disgusting! I am so sad because as a vegetarian for over 30+ years, I ate these all the time. Now, the taste is so awful that it's completely inedible.

The new recipe is absolutely horrible.
The new and improved recipe is horrible. I was a customer for oh 20 years, until I tasted the new recipe. I can’t eat it at all, and I’m not the only one. I will not buy your product until you bring back the original recipe.

Awful new recipe
The new recipe is terrible. I would give it zero stars if I could. I have been using Morning Star crumbles in my chile for more than 10 years which was always delicious. My husband didn't even recognize the same chile recipe tonight when using the new crumbles. He had one bowl & refused to eat anymore. It completely changed the taste & texture; very mushy & tasteless. I will not be buying again. Please bring the old recipe back.

New Recipe Tastes Terrible
New recipe is bad. The new flavor completely overpowers all attempts to make edible. Tastes like “gristle”

New recipe is disgusting
New recipe is absolute disgusting. I use to buy the old version all the time and it use to be a go to meal. It use to be my absolute favorite for tacos. This new recipe i literally wouldn’t even feed to a dog. I really wish this company would listen to all of the negative reviews and please go back to the old version.

Mush
The flavor is overpowered with liquid smoke or something that gives it a grill flavor. No matter how much seasoning you add it still taste like smoke. The texture is horrible it is very mushy. I really miss the old recipe. This is not an improvement please bring back the egg and any other ingredients that made it palatable.

New and improved version is a definite fail!
I’ve used these as a vegetarian for many years. Best option out there for making chile, one of my favorite recipes. Could even fool my meat eating friends. No longer. The new and improved version is terrible, especially the mushy texture. It’ll be the last time I’ll buy this product.

Horrible Change of Formula
I used to love these crumbles. It was one of my go to meatless products. I bought it yesterday and was cooking it up today and it's so different from the original and far worse in flavor. It has almost a sausage kind of flavor compared to their old formula. And the texture is somehow worse. I tried to add to my usual foods and can't get passed the flavor change. It is disgusting.

Disappointed after 20 years
Very dissatisfied with the recipe change. I have been a vegetarian for 29 years and Morningstar was one of the first big brands on the market that catered to meat alternatives. While some things have gotten better, the crumbles have not. The texture is weird and mushy. It used to be more beef like in my opinion. I also don’t approve of the flavor change. I dont know why you would make beef taste like sausage. It’s very mild but it’s still there- not even taco seasoning can hide it. I don’t like sausage flavor- which is why I don’t buy the Gardein crumbles. These are mild but still not as good as they used to be. I appreciate the option for vegan items, but your original market was vegetarians. Now you’re compromising both flavor and texture to try to go vegan. It would be nice if there were two options.

Disgusting New Recipe
I have been vegetarian since 2001 and this has been a staple of my diet. This new recipe is disgusting and it’s honestly heartbreaking for me, I eat this stuff too often and now I may never be able to eat it again.

My family and I have used this product for more than 20 years. The new recipe is inedible—the smell, taste, and texture is terrible. Please bring back the previous recipe.
