Guests are saying
The recent recipe change has left many guests disappointed, as the new flavor and texture do not meet the expectations set by the original product. While some guests appreciate the new formulation, the majority express a strong preference for the previous version, citing issues with taste and consistency. The product was once a staple for many, used in various dishes, but the shift has led to a significant loss of loyal customers. Guests are hopeful for a return to the original recipe.

Do Not Buy
These used to be my favorite. I have eaten them for as long as I can remember. They changed the ingredients about a year or so ago and they taste completely different. I used to think the Gardein ones had no flavor and an odd texture but now Gardein tastes 1 million times better than these. That says everything. I tried them again recently and nothing has changed. They are just as disgusting and inedible.

New recipe is off-putting
Please return the product to its original recipe. I will be looking for other company's products to make my vegetarian tacos.

New Recipe is Horribly Disgusting
For god's sake go back to the original recipe. This was my family's go-to for a lot of meals but no one now will even take a single bite because of how disgusting the new product tastes. I literally went to every local store and bought the left-over original recipe but we're out now and in no way will even consider buying again. Seriously, fire whoever was behind this idiotic decision that clearly does not represent your customer's preferences.

The New Recipe is Disgusting
I miss the old recipe! The new one is mushy and gross tasting. We used to buy this product weekly. We have now switched to another brand to replace this one. It's a shame the company is not listening to consumer feedback.

Delicious!
I have no idea why people are saying the new recipe is bad. I'm pescatarian and I love this! I just made penne with "meat" sauce and it's delicious! Curious as to how it tasted before. Literally no issues here. Is it too seasoned for y'all or what?

The key to my vegetarian cheesesteaks 🩷
I'm going to be honest, I accidently bought these about 3 or 4 years ago because I thought they were like actual like ground beef consistency but then realized they are actually closer to cheesesteak consistency I'm a South Jersey girl that didn't grow up vegetarian (became a vegetarian at 10 years old) and one thing I did miss eating were cheesesteaks, and this pretty much solved my dilemma with that These taste fantastic to me because I actually season my food, if you don't know how to properly season food these aren't going to taste good. So before buying these, ask yourself if you know how to use seasoning, if you do, proceed to buy it and enjoy it! if you struggle in the seasoning department, brush up on how to season food and then buy it But yes, 10/10 will buy this every single time to make my vegetarian cheesesteaks

New recipe is horrible
This used to be an absolute staple of my diet. I cannot begin to describe how many dishes I used it in. The “new improved” recipe is HORRIBLE. I cannot stand it at all. It is awful and I’m so sad and disappointed. I’ll never buy it again and any morning star product with “new improved recipe” on the bag will be a total pass for me!

So disgusting and inedible
Absolutely disgusting! I am so sad because as a vegetarian for over 30+ years, I ate these all the time. Now, the taste is so awful that it's completely inedible.

The new recipe is absolutely horrible.
The new and improved recipe is horrible. I was a customer for oh 20 years, until I tasted the new recipe. I can’t eat it at all, and I’m not the only one. I will not buy your product until you bring back the original recipe.

Awful new recipe
The new recipe is terrible. I would give it zero stars if I could. I have been using Morning Star crumbles in my chile for more than 10 years which was always delicious. My husband didn't even recognize the same chile recipe tonight when using the new crumbles. He had one bowl & refused to eat anymore. It completely changed the taste & texture; very mushy & tasteless. I will not be buying again. Please bring the old recipe back.

New recipe is absolute disgusting. I use to buy the old version all the time and it use to be a go to meal. It use to be my absolute favorite for tacos. This new recipe i literally wouldn’t even feed to a dog. I really wish this company would listen to all of the negative reviews and please go back to the old version.

Mush
The flavor is overpowered with liquid smoke or something that gives it a grill flavor. No matter how much seasoning you add it still taste like smoke. The texture is horrible it is very mushy. I really miss the old recipe. This is not an improvement please bring back the egg and any other ingredients that made it palatable.
