Watch the computer as the cashier scans it and make sure to check your receipt before you leave the store. We bought 4 of these yesterday because they were yellow sticker and the cashier rang up two at the sale price and scanned the normal barcode on the other two so they wound up being normal price. I live 35 minutes away from there so not worth the gas prices to go back as we didn’t notice the receipt until we got home.

Totally awful
I have always these johnsonville breakfast sausages and brats. The last time I bought the brats I had a horrible allergic reaction to it. I . I eat other sausages fine. I thought I would at least be able to eat the breakfast ones same thing this morning only this time the hives and throwing up and stomach pain was way worse. Obviously ingredients have changed. I don’t see anything listed on the packaging that I would be allergic to but to be honest the taste was awful and the casing were ridiculous hard. Totally awful. I guess I will go about buying the other brands that don’t give me any issues.

Remove BHA
Favorite Brat around, until I realized it has cancer in the ingredients. BHA is in the list and FDA is looking at banning it. Move quick Johnsonville!

Beware! Green object inside of meat
The quality of these are not what they were 8 yrs ago. Tonight I found something green and hard inside the sausage. This is not safe for anyone to consume! Thinking to call local news station on this.

Not good anymore - butcher lacks tastes buds
I used to like these, but due to travel hadn't had them in almost two years. Not sure what happened, but the flavor was seriously off. There was such an overpowering aroma of nutmeg and gloves, it was disgusting. It was also way too salty (and no we didn't add spices when cooking them).

Product has changed
They changed something on them. The casings now split open and the filling extrudes out and it ends up looking unappetizing. These done on a grill. Its been happening all summer and we are switching to ones produced by a local butcher.

How about adding an inch to your brats. Nobody makes a bun that short and no one wants their first bite a mouthful of bun. Other than than they taste great.

Casings too tough and chewy.
These used to be the best brats. We've bought them for many years, but the last 3 times, the casings have been SO tough and chewy! You almost need a steak knife to eat them! So disappointed because the flavor is good and they are nice and juicy, but you have to chew and chew and chew them because of the tough casings!

Smoking brats
Smoked these brats in a Weber kettle to 155° using hickory as heat and smoke. Very intense smoke flavor and taste however, the casing was very, very tough. To be fair, I'll make another package as I normally would, simmer in beer, then char on hot grill. I wish they'd add a bit more spices, otherwise, good product.

Casing was like hard rubber!
Brat was like trying to eat the sole of a shoe due to the casing. Even when we removed casing (very difficult), the brat had little flavor. We will not purchase again, very disappointed in the quality of this product.
