I used 20g of this blend to pull a 2 oz shot to use in lattes. I prefer a lighter roast for lattes. I loved this coffee. The stone fruit aromatics came through while grinding and the honey and milk chocolate more with drinking. For friends that drank coffee black but usually found just a shot of espresso to be too much, they loved it with a sprinkle of salt and cinnamon. Great, smooth mouth feel that will leave you sad when the bag is over or wanting another cup for the taste even though it'll mess up your sleep. This blend would be fantastic as a cafe miel if you wanted to highlight that honey note a little more to celebrate the roast in a flavored drink.

Worst coffee I've ever had
The coffee was bitter and disgusting. The beans are very dry, no oil left. After a few times of forcing myself to drink it I just threw the rest away.

I've been drinking this for minutes, and it tastes like coffee. Good coffee. I find myself drinking it. I have drunk it. Had I been dissatisfied, I would have contracted my orbicularis oris and expressed the liquid back out into the vessel from which it came. I will likely repeat this process again.

Dark roast
Been drinking ElGallo blend for years. One of my favorite coffees. A good light roast. The last bag purchased was not even close t0 what I have been drinking. Very dark beans, very strong,and sort of bitter taste. Far from a light roast.

Intelligentsia: Go with another brand - not worth the cost.
Intelligentsia not worth the price: Cheap packaging and the quality of the beans don't match up to the cost. I mixed the package with the remaining Starbucks I had. It seems like there was a change in the company and who preparrs the product - they should have looked at how other packaged coffee is presented.

Best coffee ive had
Coffee lover here and very picky. This is my absolute favorite. I agree with others though that you have to like light roast coffee or this isn’t for you. I drink mine black and use a percolator to brew it. When I don’t have the money for this one, I buy the organic Ethiopia light roast (I think good and gather organic brand) which is also very good at a lower price point.

Hands Down Favorite!
This coffee sets the bar for me. Even though I am not a coffee connoisseur, El Gallo is the only coffee that I can find off the shelf that has actual flavor - the notes leaning toward high/acidic/citrus. Note, that if you like dark/espresso roasts, you probably won't like this one (like others have mentioned and like a friend of mine who likes espresso raosts).

Packaging described this as a medium roast with hints of honey and cola. Not only are these flavor profiles unidentifiable, the wet inclusions nearly destroyed my coffee grinder on my breville! I wanted to love this. I really did. It's so rare to find a whole bean coffee with an appropriate roast date in a big name store like this. Would not recommend!

Tastes like coffee should taste
My go to coffee from most grocery retailers. Great balance of acidity, sweetness, and bitterness. One of the few roasts you can find that isn’t completely burnt to hell and back. I’m amazed by the one and two star reviews, but I’m not surprised most people don’t really know how coffee should taste. If you love coffee, you will like this. If you love Starbucks then you should stick to your burnt beans and k cups.

I love sweet or chocolate flavored coffee. I feel this hits the spot perfectly. I normally make candy like coffee to cover up the sour/bitter aftertaste but with this blend I was able to use only milk. I prefer my coffee cold so I added ice which may change the strength. I do not love the price but I would certainly buy more of this one.
