The product does not contain a soy allergen. Refined soybean oil does not contain soy allergen per the FDA, and the soybean oil is used as a cooking medium; therefore, the USDA does not require it to be listed. The oil in this product is used for frying, not as an ingredient in the formulation, and it is an organic soybean oil. It is considered an incidental additive (processing aid) by the USDA‑FSIS Labeling Group, our Organic Certifier, and by regulation, it is not required to be labeled.

  • A: Hi there, I would like to inform you that none of our facilities process products that contain peanuts or tree nuts. We do have some products that contain milk, wheat, eggs, and soy but we follow a strict allergen control policy. Each processing facility has an allergen control policy. The facility is required to follow two steps. The product with an allergen present should be processed last in the production sequence for the day which ensures that no cross contamination will take place. If a product with an allergen must be processed in the middle of the day, that equipment must be broken down and thoroughly cleaned to avoid cross contaminants. Every evening the entire processing plant is sanitized thoroughly top to bottom, so all equipment is thoroughly cleaned before the start of the plant and with the approval of USDA.

    Food safety concerns...

    I immediately got sick after eating these. Some food safety quality issues. I kept it cold and frozen until I cooked them for the complete cooking time in a preheated airfryer and still got sick - running to the bathroom in less than an hour after eating just a couple. Be wary... do better QC, Purdue.

    Beware of soybean oil! Deceptive!!

    Cooked in soybean oil! They don’t list it on the ingredient list but will confirm if you message them. Claim they do not legally have to list because of the content. How deceptive! They know people wouldn’t buy if they knew, so they intentionally omit it because they can. Why am I not surprised??

    PHENOMENAL!!!!

    I honestly don’t know how these have bad reviews. Everywhere sells them, they’re inexpensive and PHENOMENAL! It’s literally 75% of my diet at this point because my baby is sensitive to a ton of foods and I’m breastfeeding so I have to be gluten, dairy, and soy free. These tenders are all that and STILL TASTE AMAZING! Do you know how hard it is to find anything like this or frozen at all without soy? Let alone without all three of these allergens. Seriously. These are an absolute unicorn and our whole family loves them so much. I can’t thank Perdue enough for them. You’re saving my life and sanity everyday single day with these!

    Not like they used to be.

    Recipe doesn't appear to have changed when I check ingredients, but these don't taste like they used too. The color is pale, not as crunchy and the taste is terrible. Very disappointing necause being a celiac this was my go to dinner substitution when not being able to eat the family meal.

    Something's different! Why the change?

    I have been buying this product for a long time, and I LOVED it! I would have given 5 stars! However, I just bought some a week or so ago, and the tenders are different. The breading is a different consistency and not in a good way. The consistency of the chicken itself is also different. Now, I don't like them very much at all. Go back to the original product, PLEASE!

    Terrible recipe change.

    These have been our go-to chicken tenders for years. The flavor and texture used to be perfect. Now they are rubbery and have coarsely ground breading that is frankly not good and doesn’t even completely coat each tender. I hate when companies make changes to gluten free products that those with dietary needs have come to love. I have contacted Perdue to look into all of the current negative reviews and suggest that they revise their recipe.

    Not What They Used to Be

    Changed Recipe- DON’T BUY

    The recipient for these tenders has changed which has resulted in a pale yellow exterior and rubbery, plastic-tasting chicken. This was a significant push to degrade the cost of inputs to increase profit. I do not see how these can continue to be labeled as “organic”. There are too many gluten free alternatives now to continue settling for this constant downgrade in quality.

    We have been buying these for a few years and they have always been delicious. The last several bags are completely different. The are pale in color and do not crisp up or look like they’re cooked even after baking for nearly 15 minutes. They are now flavorless. This is so disappointing.     New recipe is a huge failure.

    Such a disappointment, recipe has changed for the worse. These have gone from one of the best GF chicken strip options to easily one of the worst we've had, we won't be buying these anymore unless they change the recipe back because they're now bland and rubbery no matter how you try to cook them up. Breading is next to flavorless and doesn't get anywhere near as crunchy, and the chicken texture is unappetizingly rubbery and close to flavorless as well... Truly hope Perdue reverses this change, it's hard enough as it is to find good gluten free options that are widely available and these used to be one of the good ones we were excited to eat. No longer, what a huge step backwards. Like a full staircase backwards. Purdue - Hope you take the feedback from people seriously here. This is a great example of how true the phrase 'don't fix what isn't broken' is.

    Recipe Changed

    Used to buy these all the time for years and they changed the recipe and now they're terrible! Used to be delicious and flavorful, now they're bland and unsatisfying. Very disappointed!     Bad New Recipe

    These were my sons absolute favorite, but something changed in the recipe. They are pale looking and taste off, my son doesn’t want to touch it. It triggered my son’s excema, so we stopped eating it and it cleared up. I’m afraid it may contain or be in contact with one of his food allergies now.
