Authentic Mexican Canela
I am Mexican-American and this is the kind of canela used to make a drink called canela and other authentic mexican desserts and drinks like atole. Very good tasting. I recommend it.

Disgusting!
These were so old and flavorless. Resembled the flavor of a cardboard box actually. After I already tried it, I realized two were covered in mold. So gross! Don't waste your money!!

Ceylon cinnamon
This is Ceylon cinnamon (the kind that makes brown tea, not red tea). It's usually more expensive than the Cassia (red tea) kind of cinnamon. Ceylon tea is "true cinnamon", though Cassia has a higher amount of the spicy cinnamon oil so really it depends on what you're looking for.

(no review title)
The flavor is different from the other cinnamon sticks on the market. I find that these have a stronger and more enjoyable flavor. My only complaint is that it’s a bit on the pricier side.

They're delicate and thats ok!
This is Mexican style or Ceylon cinnamon; if you are expecting thick, tough little sticks, you will be disappointed. These are pretty fragile, but they have a great sweet, fragrant flavor. Better suited for dishes like arroz con leche, cinnamon tea, and other Hispanic plates. This type of cinnamon goes for around $13-15 a pound in other shops, so it’s very convenient to buy in small batches when I need them.

Don't always go by the picture of a product
A picture is a thousand words. What I got was 2oz. as expected but , I wouldn't have selected this, especially for the price. Very disappointed and dissatisfied.

True cinnamon
Ceylon: Lightly fragrant; powdery, dry feel; earthy-sweet aftertaste; very fragile bark. Usually pricier.
Cassia: Pungent; rough feel; bold taste; thick, hard bark. Usually dirt cheap.
Ceylon is also used in "te de canela". Cassia is not suitable for this because of the difference in taste as well as a much higher level of coumarin, a toxin. I'd bet this is likely ceylon. I didn't find that info on the package but the true test will be in the te de canela.

Terrible
Truly the worst cinnamon sticks I've ever encountered. They are fragile and flake apart (most came broken already) and, much worse, have absolutely zero flavor. I threw them out --- and I never do that.
