The mixed vegetables were specially selected and flash frozen, locking in fresh flavor and nutrients, to provide you and your family with high-quality frozen vegetables. This Birds Eye frozen rice and vegetables dish is made with no artificial flavors for a delicious and convenient way to enjoy vegetable dishes and frozen sides without compromise. Serve the seasoned rice as a side dish along with your favorite grilled meat, or add it to grain bowls, pasta dishes and salads as part of a main dish. Easily prepare the frozen rice side dish by microwaving it in the bag for up to 4 1/2 minutes and letting stand for 1 minute or by cooking on the stovetop for up to 8 minutes and letting stand for 1 to 2 minutes. Here are the cooking instructions: Product Instructions Usage Instructions TEAR HERE PICK UP HERE Storage Instructions KEEP FROZEN; DO NOT THAW; COOK AS DIRECTED For Food Safety & Quality Follow These Instructions Carefully: KEEP FROZEN - DO NOT THAW. COOK THOROUGHLY TO A TEMPERATURE OF 165° F. COOK ONLY ONE PRODUCT AT A TIME. PROMPTLY REFRIGERATE ANY LEFTOVERS. REHEAT BEFORE SERVING. Microwave Instructions MICROWAVE OVENS VARY - ADJUST COOKING TIMES AS NEEDED TO REACH 165°F AS MEASURED BY A FOOD THERMOMETER TAKEN IN SEVERAL SPOTS. 1. PLACE frozen, unopened bag THIS SIDE UP in microwave. DO NOT PIERCE BAG. For microwaves with a metal rack, remove rack. 2. MICROWAVE on HIGH for the recommended cook time based on your microwave wattage. During cooking, the bag will slowly inflate. Possibly undisclosed allergen

I'm pretty sure there's an undisclosed allergen in this product. I'm only allergic to cranberries and oysters, no other foods give me an allergic reaction in the entire world. But eating this immediately caused an allergic reaction the exact same way oysters do, and I had to take Benadryl to stop it. We get other Birds Eye veggies and steamer sides a lot, and I've noticed a major decline in quality over the past year. And now possible undisclosed allergens??? Very wary of purchasing more products. Birds Eye, get it together!!

Great Add-on

I love this product. It tasted really, really great. It's a great add-on for when I making chicken. And I don't know what my side dish is gonna be. And this is great because I also get some vegetables with the item and it smells really, really great. The vegetables were great. It was a nice amount of vegetable and rice ratio. So I really enjoyed it; one of the ways that I prepared it other than just out of the bag with my baked chicken, 1 of the ways I prepared it was I added some cream of Chicken from Campbell's with it and that just stepped up the flavor so it's great for me and I would definitely recommend it for anyone that wants more flavor and looking for more options with their proteins.

This is my husband’s all time favorite rice! It heats very nicely, very quick, and packed full of flavor. Goes well with any protein/meal! It is a weekly purchase in our household!

Smells like a zoo!!

The local grocery store was out of my usual favorite Cheesey Broccoli & Rice and Cheesey Broccoli & Rotini so I thought I'd give this a try. I couldn't find the exact product on here - the one I purchased is called Rice & Vegetables Chicken Flavored. It has rice, broccoli, carrots and onions - and OMG it smells like a zoo! Who approved this product?? It's awful!

Great for a quick meal

This frozen rice side dish is a solid pick when you’re short on time: the chicken‑flavored rice with broccoli, carrots and onions tastes decent, just requires about five minutes of microwave prep and brings in a handful of veggies. On the downside, it leans a bit salty and the broccoli portion feels skimpy compared to the carrots. Overall: good for a quick side, especially if you bolster it with extra greens or protein.

Great for large groups too!

Delish! great addition to any meal when you need a side and don’t have the nutrient in your fridge. i love using this while camping or even with a large group over because it’s so easy to cook!

Extremely Salty!!! I used to buy this years ago and it tased good but now it’s like the sodium has increased!!! It’s not the same, I threw it in the trash! Crazy thing is I have 1 more bag of this nasty rice! I will not be buying this rice again!!

Nothing at all like the picture. Only small slivers of broccoli. Doesn't have a good flavor. Maybe it could be used in soups, but not alone as a side.

It's what you'd expect (good enough for a frozen bag)

This tasted better than I thought it would. Though it's not the most seasoned, it's easy to add more seasoning and even protein to it. It wasn't quite filling on it's own, so I wouldn't consider this a stand-alone meal. However, it's a decent, quick option when you want something on the healthier side.
