ADORABLE
This quickly has become my 3 year old sons favorite book. My 5 year old loves it too. It’s absolutely adorable. We got it for Valentine’s Day but it’s not a holiday book. Small size which I appreciate, great for small hands & we accumulate a lot of books!

Don't like the illustrations
In the illustrations, it appears that quite a few of the characters don’t want the little boy to be hugging them, but he does anyway, without asking first. This does not align with what I want to teach my son about consent. I especially don’t like the line “No one escapes the hug machine.” Yikes.
