The yoga mat has received a mix of feedback from guests, highlighting its comfort and cushioning, which is beneficial for various workouts including yoga and strength training. Many appreciate the beautiful color options and the mat's thickness, which provides support for sensitive joints. However, some guests have experienced issues with grip, especially during sweaty sessions, and concerns about durability have been raised. Overall, it serves well for casual use but may not meet the needs of more intense practices.

This is for any Australian yogis

Ok so I read the reviews on here and went ahead and purchased a similar mat on the Australian site (which won't let you leave a review), but I believe the mat is either different or packaged differently for an Australian market. I purchased a Performance Ultra Sticky 6mm mat and a Performance Grippy Yoga Mat towel. The towel is great. The mat is not grippy, it's slipperier than the cheapest yoga mat I've purchased. I've cleaned it and sprayed it with a mixture of vinegar and water and it still won't hold a downward dog. At the same time I received another mat from a competitor and I can say I've not had the same issue at all, and I've conducted the same 'breaking in'. My advice to any Aussie yogis, if you're thinking of purchasing this similar mat from the Australian site (as I did) make sure you purchase the towel otherwise it's going to be a slip and slide. *review sourced from Gaiam

I have had mixed experiences with Gaiam mats in the past, but make a point to read a wide variety of reviews before purchasing one. I had one similar to this in the past and was pleased with, and feel the same way about this one. The recommendation to air it out and wipe with a wet cloth before first use were helpful, as it still had a slight chemical smell after laying out over night. The mat is grippy and prevents slipping during poses like down dog, although if you're really sweaty, like after a run, there's only so much grip you can expect from a wet surface. Color options are really pretty, and I like the cushion a slightly thicker mat provides. *review sourced from Gaiam

I reviewed this a month ago and my review was either deleted or not posted. I bought this mat for yoga and using for strength training. Within a few weeks the mat was falling apart and I have pieces of the blue all over my floor. This product must be defective! I included a picture of the missing material previously and am happy to send it in. I thought this would be of higher quality and am very disappointed. *review sourced from Gaiam

I bought this mat to use for yoga and some at home strength training videos and the mat is falling apart. I have little blue holes and bits of the mat around my floor. I have had this mat for about 30 days and have been using it once a day. It shouldn't be falling apart so I'm pretty disappointed since I thougth Gaim mats were supposed to be great. *review sourced from Gaiam
Good for stickiness, not long lasting

This mat didn't last as long as I would have liked. Before it started to shred it worked well from a stickiness standpoint. I'll keep on looking for the perfect mat, which should perform well yet last longer than a few months before falling apart. The blue color scheme is beautiful, very calming. *review sourced from Gaiam

I'm a studio owner and bought these mats to replace my 3 year old ones. They are absolutely terrible. They are so slippery and after 1 month the color began to scratch off, revealing the color from the other side. I now have to replace them again. The worst part is that Spri has done nothing to help. They haven't even responded to emails. They have lost a customer and Gaiam as well. *review sourced from SPRI
I will not buy these again.

Bought a bunch of these for my studio and they are such a bummer. I expected more of Gaiam. Too late to send them back after unpacking all of them. They scuff easily on the lighter side which then shows the darker side. Ugh, should have bought the same ones I did before. *review sourced from SPRI

I use this mat for home workouts and yoga. I like it but it's not as thick as I thought it would be. I had one with exact same measurements I got 4 years ago and it was better quality/thicker. *review sourced from Gaiam

After looking at a number of mats for floor work-outs, I settled on the two-tone yoga mat. I like the colors (purple). As many others noted, the nubs starting coming off within a month or two of using it. This only effects the looks and not the functionality. I imagine the nubs are there to reduce slipping, but it does seem like a flaw that they start coming up relatively soon. It had a minor odor when it first arrived but airing it out eliminated that within a few days. I use it on a carpet so it's hard to comment on cushioning for sit-ups etc. on a hard floor. But I imagine it would be fine. There are some problems with being too sticky for certain exercises (only a few). Overall, I'm happy with my purchase and ordered a second one to leave at our vacation house. *review sourced from Gaiam

I am using the mat for bodyweight HIIT workouts. Mountain climbers, pushups, etc.. my hands are slipping all over the replace and it's super frustrating. I am having to put my old mat over the new mat when doing workouts. Would not buy again. *review sourced from Gaiam
