Decent sound at a reasonable price (on sale)
We bought these speakers on sale to accompany a record player that was going to be a Christmas gift for our daughter. We had purchased another brand a year prior for our younger daughter and there were a few things that we didn't really like about them. Most notably, the other brand had a remote control and digital volume control buttons--the remote was convenient, but the volume steps were too large, making it hard to find a good volume level for private listening in a shared apartment environment. I noticed the Monoprice speakers have an analog volume control knob, so we chose them this time. The Monoprice sale price made these speakers competitively priced with the others. They arrived very quickly. They are nicely sized and they sound decent with vinyls played on a mid-range turntable. However, note that I am an engineer, not an audiophile. There are a few things that I would change to make them worthy of a 5-star review: 1) The Monoprice speakers do not come with any kind of cover for the front of the speakers. The other brand DID come with a cover. Even if you prefer the "open speaker" look, including a cover gave a few bonus points to the other speakers. 2) There is no tone control on these speakers. Don't get me wrong--they do not sound bad, but including a tone control also gave a few bonus points to the other speakers. 3) Even on sale, these speakers cost more than the other ones. Other than the aforementioned volume step issue with the other brand, I'm not sure that the Monoprice speakers outperform the cheaper ones in any meaningful way. Somewhat strangely, there are two on-off switches on the speakers--a rocker switch on the back and the volume knob on the front has an "off" detent. I assume that one is on the high-power (supply) side and the other is on the low-power side. Make sure that both are turned on. In summary, I will say the Monoprice speakers sound decent for casual use and everything (including Bluetooth) worked perfectly. My daughter's iPhone 11 connected immediately via Bluetooth and playback worked flawlessly. She has been happy with them since Christmas. If you are looking for bookshelf speakers and especially if you can catch these on sale, they seem to be a solid option.

Awesome
I use these with my Ipad and scarlet guitar interface. My amp sims sound crystal clear and LOUD. I bet they would also work great as BT speakers or computer speakers.

I hooked the speakers to my laptop and they sound really good. Have not tried the bluetooth on them yet, but don't really plan to.

Good Sound
I was a little worried the DT-4BT would not be loud or low enough and I would wish I had purchased the DT-5BT but these sound really good and with a smaller footprint fit my desk better than the larger speakers. I have only had them a couple weeks but so far so good.

Great desktop speakers
These work perfectly as desktop speakers for me. They are plenty loud when you?re only sitting 1-2ft from them, and they have plenty of low-end for their size. Would highly recommend!

Great Speakers for the Money
These are part of a mini stereo system my son put together for his dorm room. It basically consists of a relatively high-end turntable and these speakers. So far the sound is impressive from a small set of speakers. There is plenty of power to fill a small room and the bass was suprisingly strong. One thing that impressed me was the number of connection options - Bluetooth, traditional speaker wire, RCA plugs, amd TRS. Great clarity and should serve his needs well for years to come.

Amazing sounds!!!
Love those speakers!!! high, mid, and lows are amazing! It has a gentle and accurate bass, exactly as it should be! I bought $1,000 speakers, and the Monoprice DT-4BT is on the same quality, in my opinion. Love it!!!

Surprisingly solid.
The Rockit 6's had to go -- they took up too much space. For the little bit of DJing and playing around with production I still do, these work very well on my desktop. They are sufficiently loud enough to be heard in the next room of my apartment. I may not try and pass these off to any pro audio techs or engineers as high-end or totally flat. These little things will shock you with their accuracy and clear volume. (sorry, i'm not technical enough to offer db ratings and frequencies.)

Great Speakers for the Money
Strongly recommend these speakers I did not purchase this item for any specific use, although they may eventually find their way to a computer full time in the cold months. I purchased the Monoprice DT-4BT for its versatility and portability. For portability I require a built in line cord rather then a dealing with a separate brick. As for versatility: Bluetooth, stereo RCA cable line input, 3.5mm cable input, and 1/4" balanced input. Basically hook anything up to them. They are connected together with old school speaker cable (included). This means I could go longer for cheap if needed. As a bonus, an old fashioned front volume control. No poking through a GUI or vague soft buttons. I'm not a Bluetooth fan, but I tested it and it works as advertised. I can carry these anywhere there is line current, hook up anything; and listen to music. The further bit of good news is that they sound good. I've use them indoors and out on the deck. Much more volume and musical response than Sony and Bose Bluetooth type speakers.

Punches above their weight class!
These speakers sound great. Punches way above their weight class in sound as well as fit and finish. Soils little bookshelf speakers that sound really great. Perfect for a small room.
