The Sony/Philips Digital Interface Format provides for a Digital Optical Audio signal, commonly referred to as Toslink. Toslink allows for the distribution of uncompressed 2-channel PCM audio or compressed multichannel audio, such as DTS or Dolby 5.1 or 7.1. Being an optical signal, Toslink is immune to problems that can plague electrical signals, such as crosstalk, magnetic interference, or radio frequency interference. This cable features a full-sized Toslink connector on each end, with molded connector heads and strain-relief boots.

    Works as it should

    I needed to do wire management to conceal wiring. My existing cable too short to do so. I needed longer cable, and Monoprice was the best place for cost and shipping. I am pleased with this Toslink cable.

    Works Great

    I have an LG Soundbar that I run off of my Windows 10 PC via this cable. This cable works as well as can be expected. I had originally connected via Bluetooth but I had problems with the Soundbar going into sleep mode and disconnecting from the PC, then not reconnecting when the Soundbar was powered back on. Since switching to this cable I've had zero problems. Monoprice remains the best place to find cheap yet functional cables.

    I needed this length and Monoprice delivered again with a Toslink cable that snaps in perfectly and works 100% I've purchased and installed dozens of Toslink cables from monoprice and they all work perfectly.

    Great so far no complaints?

    Got the cable, ran it through the wall behind the TV and out at the bottom for that wireless look. The price was great and it works just like the million dollar cables. I'm watching Netflix like a champ with the surround sound.

    Price was so good I bought 15ft and 25ft to be sure. I ended up using the 25ft. I have also used a 40ft for another connection, both to external DACs from my Mac mini music server through a toslink booster. Good product,

    does exactly what it's supposed to. reasonably flexible (take care not to bend too tightly, lest the cable breaks). connectors snap positively and securely into the optical ports, just as they should.

    Great cable and great price

    I needed a longer optical cable for my soundbar after mounting my tv to the wall and running the cables through the wall. My dad told me about this site so I checked it out. Found exactly what I needed and was surprised at how beefy the cable was compared to the one that came with my soundbar. Ran it through and hooked it up and works perfectly. For just over $7 with shipping it was definitely worth every penny for the quality of this cable.
