The dogs devour it enthusiastically, and it keeps them full and energized. It’s a straightforward, easy-to-store option with a scent that’s unmistakably “meaty,” which seems to appeal to our canine crew (less so to our noses). In terms of digestibility, we haven’t had any major issues — no upset stomachs or changes in coat health. That said, we do sometimes supplement with fresh food or canned meat to round things out, especially for our older dog who can be a little picky. The 16 lb size is manageable and fits well in a pet food container, which is important in our already overflowing pantry. However, with multiple pets or large breeds, you’ll burn through it quickly. While it’s not the cleanest ingredient list compared to premium brands, it serves its purpose for a family on a budget. It’s a reliable middle-ground food — better than bargain-basement kibble, but not quite at holistic levels.

I have 5 husky hound mix, They just go crazy for the savory Bacon and Steak. There bowls are always filled. So I go through a lot of it. I wish they would come out with bigger bags like they do the original and bistro.
