6ft Premium Optical Toslink
I ordered this cable in 2011, it lasted until recently 2021, but the plastic connector sleeve disintegrated inside of the female connector on my TV. Monoprice has honored the warranty and will replace the cable, which is presently not in stock.

Beautiful, but over engineering produced a flaw
This cable is beautiful and the tiny protective caps are great. They are attached, so they won't get lost. The problem I ran into was that the heads have a huge hard square piece that really gets in the way. I had bought it to replace an existing cable that was a bit too short, but the big square heads prevent this cable from plugging into my TV. It will start to go in, but can't lock in because the head catches around the TVs connector. I was able to use this cable in another location, but if your application has a tight connection area, then pass on this cable, or be ready to send it back.

I haven't used one of these cords in well over 15yrs, but had to get one to test out why my audio was glitching on my PC via the HDMI cord... Luckily this S/PDIF fixed my audio issue, and now am sending the HDMI (picture) straight to my projector, while this S/PDIF (audio) cord goes to the receiver.

Manufacturing or design defect for he 35 foot length
Received 3. All had the same defect. The optical fiber does not sit flush with the optical connector, On one cable, it was flush on one end and 1./4" extended on the other. On the other cable, it was flush one end and extended 3/8" on the other. On the third cable, it was 1/8" extended on both ends., striaght out of the box. Returned them all for a refund. Monoprice customer service is outstanding , which is why I gave 3 stars, 1 for the product and 5 for customer service, I do not know if the shorter lengths are also problematic, just the 35 foot length. I also tried to push the fiber back in, like another review, but it just sprung back out.

What Are They Thinking?
Seems to be a fine functional Toslink cable, but what were they thinking? This cable is about 3/8" diameter, with a woven wire outer layer. It gobbles up volume in a conduit, and be very careful not to drag it across any finished surfaces.. I can't imagine why this "cable" is so thick.

I have a TV with wireless capability and optical toslink digital out so I was able to run it from the TV approximately 30 ft away along the wall and underneath the bed and put a speaker on the wall that was of same compatibility which assist volume control, awesome.

I got the 35 foot version for next to nothing, and good thing. The cables were useless. The fiber stuck out the end an all the cables I ordered. I even had new cables sent out and 1 of them worked for a few days before the same thing happened and ruined my audio converter.

Plug is too heavy!
While a beautiful piece of work, it does not work! The plugs are too large and heavy. The plugs did not stay put straight in my new Audiocontrol Concert AVR-9 Receiver or my LG OLED TV. by drooping just a bit, the light gets distorted and no audio is passed. In short, great cable, lousy plugs, thus worthless.

Core line doesn't stay on place on long cables
be careful purchasing long cables over 10ft. I'm using this cables a lot, have at least 20 pcs, however my last 3 purchases of long cables over 10ft were unsuccessful. Core line doesn't stay in place and sticks out.
