Difficult to work with due to stiff cover
Not happy with this wire. The plastic covering is quite stiff and reluctant to straighten out from its coiled shape. Also difficult to strip wires, its like cover is glued to the wire and fights being pulled off. I should have bought lamp cord from the local hardware store.

"Their" version of 14AWG
I placed an order for 14 AWG wire and have received 16AWG wire. Then I had them do a RMA to send it back for the 14AWG I originally asked for and got sent back the same gauge wire. Just how hard is to send over the correct gauge I specified?

Works great.
I've used this to wire speakers with banana plugs and bare wire. Decently heavy gauge while still being easy to use. I'll be buying this again the next time I need some wire . . .

Excellent Cable for the Right price
Great cable. I was just looking for pure copper stranded cable without paying a premium for. Warning, the cable is a bit stiff since it's pure copper and 14 ga. but nothing to worry about. I paired this cable with some banana plugs from monoprice and all my connections look very clean

This is great speaker wire. Sound is pretty neutral for budget hookup wire too.

Took too long to get it...However kudos to Monoprice offering to send another reel if it didn't show up. The wire itself is as advertised... my only complaint is it is not as flexible as I would like... but it's not a deal breaker by any means. Overall very happy with the quality of the product.

Looks solid but...
Bought this wire to replace the cheap and thin 16 gauge wire I had been using.. My receiver has clip connectors and the old wire would barely make a secure connection. Opted for the 14g thinking I would have no problems but I could not get this to feed into the speaker terminals without fraying the ends, even after snipping a few strands of wire.. After several attempts, I was able to get the wire trimmed down enough, powered up everything and queued up some music. The sound coming out of the speakers completely lacked mid or high range definition and just sounded muddy. Tried playing something from each available source and all sounded terrible. Switched back to the old wire and everything sounded as it should. Maybe a bad spool but the kicker is that sending it back. will cost me the price of the cable,

stiff cable...
Curl from the spool is retained after building cables. This stuff is probably best used for inside walls, and not for making speaker cables.
