Could be manufactured better.

The stem of the star has too big of an opening. I had to bend the top tree branch over three times for it to fit somewhat snug. Once the batteries are installed into the on /off switch unit, it becomes very heavy causing the star to be pulled downward. The actual on/off switch itself does not make good contact always, causing the lights to either-not come on or not shine bright brightly .

Dangerous!!!

Exploded on top of my Christmas tree. Battery acid went everywhere. This item is not safe!
