Very Happy
Man imo you can't beat these guitars for the money. Tone Pits could be better S there's not much difference when you use them but again for the money?great guitar. It's why I know own 3 Cali Classics.

Heckuva Good Guitar for the $,
Fast neck. Good action. Weight is reasonable. I like the off-white color and maple neck. Decent pickups and I may experiment by replacing one or two. Holds tune so far. Overall am quite happy with the purchase.

Great Deal. Great guitar and some upgrades.
Love the guitar. Fantastic deal. But, being and inexpensive guitar it did need some upgrades. The good: The neck is awesome. Nice fretwork and beveled edge. The basswood body is pretty lightweight (in a good way). The just OK: The plastic nut does the job, but bone would be better. The tuners were barely adequate. I replaced them with real standard Gotoh tuners for $28. The pots and switches functioned OK, but I replaced the pots with CTS and the 5 way switch with a Fender CRL switch. I had these parts on hand, and it was not actually necessary to replace them, so I am not including their costs. The Bad: The stock tremolo bridge is unacceptable. The block had no weight to it and the bridge was sticking / hanging up when using the trem. The springs were the wrong tension (too strong). I ended up using a real Fender vintage bridge, The rout in the body was not big enough to accommodate the full sized trem block, so I used a Squire trem block and arm. I did have to roto zip out a notch in the body rout (about 3/4"). The Squire trem block was not as heavy as the full sized block, but it is about 5 times the weight of the stock block. Amazing difference! The Fender vintage saddles are way better. I used real Fender springs and claw and bridge screws as well. The action is smooth, tuning stays in tune. Parts came to about $50 total. The pickups were very thin sounding. I replaced them with Wilkinson Low Guass ceramic pickups $27. Really good sounding pickups for the price. Costs: Guitar with free shipping plus tax $115. Parts for upgrades, $110. Total $225 This guitar is now every bit as good as a Squire Classic Vibe Strat that costs $475. I am thrilled with the guitar. For me, it was well worth the investment to upgrade it.

Indio Cali
The electronics work, the body, neck and frets are all good, the only issue is true but slots need to be filed but, it?s a $100 guitar so that?s to be expected. Minus 1 star for the frets

Very impressed with mine, nice frets, nice finish, nice sound, and all around a great buy for a beginner or novice to learn on. As far as advanced players, great guitar to upgrade. Get yours today.

Needs a lot of work!
This guitar needs a lot of work to be made playable. Nut was way too low , so whoever set this one up set the bridge way high to try to compensate. Upon examination found the nut slot cut to deep. A standard fender replacement nut had the same issue. Had to shim the nut for proper height. Still have frett buzz so frett level will be next. Also the pick ups are the worst I've ever heard so replacement will follow. But for 80$ on sale it is just fine for a modding platform. This is my 6th indio. I've had very good luck until now so I'm not complaining. But occasionally with budget guitars it can happen that you will have to put some work into it or hire a luthier. But this can also be the case with more expensive guitars as well. So if you are just starting on guitar please know that any guitar you purchase that you can't test drive first, may need some work done.

Steal!!!!
For the price this guitar is a steal. It is well made, sounds good & looks so cool ( white one). If you are a beginner or simply feel like you need another guitar because ? you can never have enough guitars? then go for it. If you want to upgrade it later that?s fine or just keep it like it is it is good too. As I said before -getting this much guitar for that price is mind-blowing!!!

Cali Classic Electric Guitar with Gig Bag
It's almost pointless to say anything bad about a 79.00 guitar. Overall I was pleased at what I got but since you are asking I will say that there was some fret buzz I had to adjust the neck to fix the problems with that and the other thing they could do is smooth the surface and edges of the frets. Overall I still think it was a pretty good deal. I bought a white one and a black one. Had more issues with the frets on the black one than on the white one. We'll see how they hold up. I would still recommend , especially when they are on sale at 79.00

Amazing guitar for a great price
It?s a quality guitar. The build and feel is phenomenal, and it is very easy to play. The compromises here are there are mostly cosmetic flaws, which are mostly sanding. There were no imperfections on the finish. Straight out of the box it plays just fine, stock strings and all. If you?re looking for a great gig guitar for playing at home or church, this is the electric guitar. It?s phenomenal for a beginner guitar, let alone $80 (the price I got at the time) The gig case is also nice, the form of a backpack and padded enough for me to be comfortable to travel with it.

Beyond impressed..
I'm beyond impressed. I'm still trying to wrap my head around how you guys got this out for such a price. The guitar came perfectly set up and plays like a dream! A set up like this at your local guitar store will cost you more than this guitar / setup together ! The buttery smooth fretboard/neck has enabled me to take my playing to a higher level! Thanks so much Monoprice/Indio ! ..PS.. the guitar is quite beautiful as well :-)

(no review title)
I was very impressed for the price. I bought this guitar to mod, basically wound up ripping everything out of it however prior to doing that I did play it as is for a few hours. The guitar was pretty well setup out the box with low action. Neck was excellent with no sharp frets. Body was clean from blemishes. Neck pickup sounded fantastically creamy (bridge pickup was a bit lackluster). The weakest parts on this guitar were the tuning machines which could easily be replaced. Overall fantastic instrument for the price better than any squier Strat.

Yup, mucho happy!
Much better than you would think. Body exact duplicate as f-----. Neck could use a slight smoothing up, but not a deal breaker. This is a great starters guitar. You will not regret you purchase.

Very nice guitar!
A very good guitar for the money, some say better than the Squiers they've owned. I found the puckups to be pretty hot so if your looking for that warm quacky Fender sound you might consider putting some aftermarket pickups in. The Indio sounds great to me for a hard rock style but a turn on the vol & tone knobs can get you to a few more places.
