The ground socket works with rocky, hard, soft, and sandy soil, and the birdhouse pole comes with instructions on how to install it in all these locations. You can mount most mountable bird houses and feeders on top of the 6- by the 2-inch mounting bracket. Screws are included. It had promise but does not work

Like the other review stated, the stand is missing a piece to make it fit tightly in place. It’s a wobbly mess. I regretfully did not keep the box. I’m hoping I can find something to make it work since I attached the top piece to my birdhouse first. Buyer be warned, the discounted price doesn’t make up for the search that will ensue to find missing parts.

Returned this item as Defective. The poles don’t fit together properly. Not the same diameter for a tight fit. Unstable terribly.
