A: Hi - we suppose you could, but the design is really intended to light a picture or painting, so all the light would be directed toward the vanity mirror or wall surface. For good bathroom lighting you want light evenly directed at your face for grooming and make-up application. Thank you for the question!

finish is nice, but not dimmable
There is a slight swivel adjustment available on the head. This is not dimmable however, so I had to replace my existing LED compatible dimmer with a standard on/off switch.
