This light fixture is a stylish addition to any room, offering great illumination and a modern design that enhances decor. While many guests appreciate its quality construction and stable design, some have noted challenges with installation and the clarity of instructions. The adjustable cable system is a highlight, allowing for easy height adjustments. Overall, it serves as an excellent primary light source, especially in dining areas.

Pink Diffuser
We just installed our new fixture and loved it until we turned it on. The diffuser has a very definite PINK tint to it. It ruins the look of the lamp. Why is the diffuser tinted? I am extremely disappointed.

Great Pendant/Chndelier
Initially concerned about my purchase because the store did not have one on display - had to make a decision based on prior reviews and pics, but after installation I am confident I made a good choice after all. I had it professionally installed by the store electricians - they also did a great job. I'm very happy with the purchase. One note: in retrospect I wish they had made the diffuser frosted - currently it is shiny and it hangs above a glass table near a window so I get a lot of reflection on the diffuser. But that's not a deal breaker - still a terrific pendant.

A nice modern upgrade to a dining room.
A beautiful addition to our dining room. Gives plenty of direct and indirect illumination, too. A bit of a challenge to install.

Very good
We like this light very much. The only issue is that the instructions could have been clearer; it took more time than it should to install.

Hardest light to install with poor instructions
The person I had install the said it was the most difficult light fixture he had ever installed. Had inadequate instruction. I love the appearance of the fixture. It is a beautiful light fixture in my dining room.

Disappointment
Putting the light together was time consuming. Getting the balance correct was a bit tricky. Unfortunately attaching the acrylic shield was impossible. The screw attachment was too short to put the shield and 2 protective plates on and fasten with the nut. We tried again, leaving off the 2 plates, still was impossible to attach the nut to the screw. Sadly, we would not recommend this particular item.

Great fixture, not as difficult as...
This is a great fixture especially for the price. It looks very modern and stylish. Many of the reviews have stated that it's incredibly difficult to hang....and it really was not.The directions are useless but as long as you take your time (two people) you'll be fine. One very interesting fact is that the 4 cables have an adjustable ratchet system on the canopy. Just depress the posts and the wire feeds in and out. Many reviewers complained about how difficult it was to level, but it's simple.Did I mention you need two people.Pros: StylishCons: Glossy Diffuser

Love the Light Fixture!
This fixture is very stylish and looks great under my round table. It is large so it should be hung in a room that is not a small space. The only con was that there was no instructions included to hang the fixture or the wire covers so my husband had to go buy some. Otherwise, I love it!Pros: Stable Design, Stylish, Great IlluminationBest Uses: Decoration, Over Table

Install=running in 5" stilettos
What a hassle! I bought the smaller ones as well and they were difficult to hang--and so was this one. To boot, it comes together slightly differently than the smaller ones, so.. more grief. Yes, the instructions are very cryptic and, after some head-scratching and assembling, I handed it off to my father. I've hung fixtures before and didn't even nick a manicure, but this is for the AVID DYE-er--not a pike like me. It even made my Dad mad--and that NEVER happens. But it's up, it's pretty. It's cheap, though. The diffuser is plastic and it looks plastic. It came scratched. I wish it would recess into the shade less, so that the inner rim can't be seen form the bottom, but... details, details. Just prep yourself: read the directions, put it together before you hang it, get to know the mechanism that drops the wire... then get a second pair of hands. I also wrapped the shade in wax paper so I'd avoid finger-printing it. Once hung, I took it off and the angels sang. I'd recommend it, with lots of reservations.Pros: Great Illumination, StylishCons: poor instructions, Hard To HangBest Uses: Over Table, Dining Room

The end result is worth it
I purchased this lamp for it's clean, simple design that coordinates with my decor. It's wide, circular shade fits well over my round dining room table. I like that it provides lots of light - up to 300 watts worth. I'm using four 60 watt bulbs in it and put it on a dimmer switch, so I can tone it down when that much light isn't necessary. It's a very versatile fixture that can work just as well in a modern, transitional or traditional style room. See my photo of what the fixture looks like from above. It's open- so no diffuser on top. I hung mine at my eye level and only a really tall person would see the exposed part.As other reviewers have mentioned, this is a DIFFICULT INSTALLATION. The instructions are very lacking - it's mostly a very basic diagram. If you aren't very mechanically inclined, I would recommend a professional installer or at least get a friend who can hold it while you hang it. I hung this myself solo and it took a long time to get it up there. Following are MY OWN TIPS FOR INSTALLATION - it's a lot of detail, but I hope it can save someone some time or headaches.I hung this on a regular height ceiling (8 foot I think), so I only used about 3 feet of the wire and cables. It came with about 9.5 - 10 feet of wire/cable length (from canopy to the fixture) so it's plenty long and suitable for tall ceilings also. That was actually a bit too much for me, as the ceiling box I mounted this too didn't have room for the excess electrical wire. I ended up cutting a good portion of it off, and had to strip the wires of their insulation. That was a pain as the outer jacket of the insulation is kind of rigid and it's possible to cut too far into the individual wires' insulation. Again, a professional would have no problem with this. The instructions don't mention anything about the adjustment/leveling of the four suspension cables and that's the real challenge. Each cable comes with these thumb-screw things that clamp down on it. These are the stops that determine the height you hang the fixture and adjust to level it once it's hanging. For each cable there are 2 clamps, one at the top near the canopy and one down by the lamp base. Before I hung anything, I used a tape measure to adjust each of these to the length I needed. It was tricky and you need to be precise to get them all the same. The clamp screws can be slid in one direction without unscrewing them (the direction opposite of the weight of the lamp would pull). That's good to know, so you can adjust them fairly easily to the fraction of an inch. If you move it too far, you will have to unscrew it and slide it back, then tighten it down. It's a very small part and requires a bit of finesse. For the clamps down by the lamp base, I left an INCH OR TWO OF SLACK, so I have room to adjust and level after it was hanging (see photo below). After that, it's a fairly straight-forward hanging and wiring process. Once it's up there, you'll probably have to level it out. Mine was fairly level at the start, but I had some slack in 2 of the wires (the other 2 were taught and holding the weight of the lamp). I adjusted the lower clamp screws in very small increments and with a lot of back and forth, got it all sorted and level. The last thing I did was install the diffuser on the bottom. It's a white acrylic piece that is easy to put on, but it wasn't level with the shade. Some people won't mind, but when the light is turned on, I can see a crooked line where the diffuser casts a shadow on the inside of the shade. All I did to fix it, was wedge some folded up paper above and below the diffuser's 2 washers to balance it out.All in all, I'm happy with the result and would still buy it knowing how hard it would be to hang. Just try to have patience with it and plan on taking several hours with it.Pros: Easy To Change Bulb, Stable Design, Great Illumination, Quality Construction, Stylish, VersatileCons: Hard To HangBest Uses: Over Table, High Ceilings, Dining Room Light
