Great car seat
I like that the base gives a little extra room for my daughter so that she can safely stay in the rear facing infant carrier for a bit longer before needing a new car seat. However, this is also a slight issue as it causes the car seat to require more space, and the front seat of my suv has to be moved forward quite a bit to allow for enough room. This is s trade off I'm willing to make, but it may not be an option for others. The strap adjustment is the hardest part to get used to, but one you get the hand of it is fairly easy and very secure. It's easy to install with our without the base, and easy to detach from the base as well. Overall I would definitely buy this car seat again and again!

Saved My Son’s Life
My husband, three-month-old baby, and I were driving home in a wind storm and a tree fell into the path of our vehicle, totaling it. Branches came through the car, including one that struck our son’s car seat and ended up resting right above his head. The impact bent the car seat, but our son didn’t have a scratch on him. So grateful for this quality product that saved his life.

Straps and height range to short.
Seems fine from a safety stand point but belts are too short to reach the sides and makes loading and unloading baby difficult. Also frustrating that our 6 month has almost outgrown it and we need to start shopping again so soon.

Would buy again
As an extremely anxious FTM, I finally decided on this car seat after spending and insane amount of time reading safety reviews, watching crash tests, and freezing fabrics in stores. This car seat constantly ranked as one of the safest, and the quality of the material is very good. My little one has no issues falling asleep in this within minutes, so it must be pretty comfortable. It is a little heavier than most, but I appreciate that it feels more sturdy. The only complaints I have are that you have to press both sides of the handle to adjust it, which can get awkward when reaching into the car and impossible when trying to adjust while holding a baby. The shade also is pretty thick, so it gets stuck when trying to adjust it past the seat handle

We're loving it!!!
We're currently using this seat for my 7 month old, and from day one this seat has been amazing!! The no-rethread harness is my favorite feature by far. That, coupled with the easiest base I've ever installed makes this seat top tier in my book. I have 2 chicco strollers (corso le and presto) that I use with this seat and they both attach easily and effortlessly. My little guy is just that, a little guy. So we'll have this seat for him well past his first birthday, which is important to us because we intend to rear face as long as possible. When we have our next little one we'll most likely be upgrading our little guy to the fit360 (can't wait to try that out). So stay tuned for that review!!

The perfect newborn carseat.
I love how safe it feels. The car seat it’s self is lighter than other car seats that I’ve had so that will help when toting the baby in it but feels durable and safe when locked into the bottom piece. The infant insert is very nice and soft. My all time favorite thing is that the bottom is easily removable from the car! I couldn’t be happier with this car seat.

Bad Anchor strap system
One of our bases works great. The other one was installed once, then removed for testing. I pulled the anchor strap cord to get them to tuck back into the base. Sad to say the anchor straps will not release from the base now. So, I cannot get the straps to release in order to click to hooks under seat.

great car seat. it's a step up from the Keyfit 30 in many ways. the material is soft, comfy and good quality. it's not as heavy as most comments say. the canopy is amazingly durable. and I like that it's chemical free. highly recommend

The best car seat ever!
Honestly one of the better car seats I’ve ever seen. I got this for a gift for my best friend. It’s her first baby and she did the research. I just put it in her car today to get ready for the little guy. It was the easiest process I’ve ever endured. I’m a police officer and am trained in the proper way to put car seats in. This was so simple and easy. The two “clips” that hook into the bottom of the seat are actually like little seat buckles. They push in and are easy to take off if needed to remove the base. Tightening was easy. We fed the lap and shoulder belt through the bottom and locked it in place. This car seat is not moving. The car seat itself is beautiful. Easy to maneuver. Not too heavy. Inside the car seat has one of those fitted pieces that the baby sits in and it feels like memory foam. The hood of the car seat isn’t attached and can be moved all the way up or down and doesn’t get in the way of the release. I’m overall pleased with this purchase and so is she. We just cannot wait for little man.

Easy construction, limited use in strollers
Expecting twins this summer. Bought this car seat because it was highly rated and reviewed for safety and easy of installation. As anticipated, this car seat was easy to install. However, I did not realize its limitations in regards to its use with a stroller. If you are expecting twins, please know that there is currently not a Chicco frame stroller to fit two keyfit 35 car seats. You will have to buy two individual frame strollers. Also, this car seat is shown online to not work with the snap-n-go double stroller. There is also not an adapter available for many well-rated double strollers like Contours. I wish I had known this before buying.
