Fun set!
My four year old enjoys building with this set and it was a perfect activity for his monkey themed birthday party! It was the only activity one of his friends wanted to do!

??
I wrote the review titled "Over time, very hard to put together". I got a "merchant response" asking me to "send me" a purchase order #. Send WHO exactly? Contact information? It may not matter. As I said I have a home childcare. At this point, I think I have a mix of several sets, all with at least some parts missing. I know for sure I'm short a monkey lol! Some were gifts from daycare parents, others bought enough years ago that my tax records are already destroyed. It's my house; I only have so much space!

Over time, very hard to put together
Daycare home. My set is SO hard to connect, especially the green panels. Like adult hard, and even I have trouble not because I'm not strong enough but because the plastic starts to bend and creak and would break.

So sorry to hear that, can you provide me with your purchase order number and I will be happy to help you with this.

It should have been much cheaper
My daughter loved the monkeys but they get in the way of the ropes and screws and it gets really hard to steer the handle. Gears pop out of their sockets because of the stuck monkeys. They also fall from the trees very easily. When you want to turn the handle you need to hold the thing in its place but there is nothing to hold on to. This an engineering game that is not engineers good enough. With these flaws, it should have been much cheaper.

Great for the budding engineer!
A game and challenge for the budding engineer. My 5 year old "loved how the moneys move" Great challenge for grown to read the instructions to the buddy engineer for them to build. Matches colours and windy bits. Little brown pieces are a little fiddly but perfectly workable with. Monkeys move from one end to the other and then spin around too. Lots of combinations to build and to be able to make your own creation turn was fabulous. Kept our 5 years entertained for a good hour….comes in a handy carry box too.

My little monkey loves these monkeys!
My lil monkey is 3.5 years old and absolutely loves these monkeys! He's been hanging them from the trees and the branches, and thought it was the best thing when turning the handle made the monkeys move. A great demonstration of cause and effect. He's also discovered that turning the handle as fast as possible makes the gears spin nice and loud and can even send the monkeys flying from the tree tops, which he finds hilarious – I told you he was a monkey! We constructed the set as per the instructions as a family as he's a little too young to do this on his own. My only criticism of this set is that the instructions weren't super clear, and we ended up copying from the picture on the box instead. Since then we've taken the set apart (the box is great quality for storing the set in and even has a carry handle), and he has constructed smaller, simple setups on his own, only occasionally struggling with hand - eye coordination. I can really see him continuing to enjoy this set for years to come.

Twirly whirly money's!!!
My little girl couldn't wait to play with this, she had been talking about cogs and how they worked. Once we had put it together, using the instructions (very basic, so slow off the mark!!) we had great fun and then she went off on her own to use her own imagination to create new ways of moving the cogs. Must say that if you use the whole length, as the instructions the pink turn handle is quite hard for my daughter to move the cogs with. But when she built a smaller one, it worked a lot easier. Overall it's very colourful and "it's like a monkey disco" in my daughters words.

Engaging, hands-on building set for solo or group play
Miss M was really excited about this building set when I brought it home for her. Once the box was open she set about building her monkey wonderland. We used the instructions for our first build, although she would have been more than happy simply fitting the pieces together in whatever way she wanted. Once she understood how to interpret the instructions herself I encouraged Miss M to independently build the jungle, encouraging her problem-solving skills. There were a few steps which she became stuck on that weren't overly clear in the instructions as to what way round pieces should go but we worked them through them together to complete the build. There were also a few fiddly gears that needed adult help in fixing together as Miss M didn't quite have the strength needed but all in all she found the set easy to use and the enjoyable to build. Different jungle builds have been created straight from her imagination since and she loves the bright colours and pretty flower parts. We already had the deluxe Gears set so have been combining the two to extend the creative play.

Great Toy
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My son is 4 and enjoys putting the gears together in different ways and of course loves playing with the monkeys. The toy is great problem solving and cognitive thinking.

My grandkiddo's really enjoyed this
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My 6 yr old granddaughter and I sat down one afternoon after receiving this it's really cute but some of the pieces were even hard for me to snap together. She loved the little gears and all the monkeys. An older kid could probably put pieces together better.

Movin Monkeys Building Set
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The children had a great time putting the Movin Monkeys Building Set together. The weather has been too hot for the little ones to play outside so they have been building different jungle gyms for the monkeys to play on. I would recommend this building set for others to play with. The children thought it was fairly easy to put together and continue to play with it every day.
