The Mongoose Malus 26-inch fat tire bike has arrived to save you from the doldrums and put a smile on the faces of all those you pass by. Built with 4-inch tires (earning the name fat) on a supersized beach cruiser frame and there is plenty of clearance to make it rideable on virtually any terrain. Plus, the Malus has 7-speed twist shifters and front and rear disc brakes so it still has its vein of practicality. Fat tires are all the rage and the Malus is a great bike to add to your stable, and to get out there and have a little fun on. There is nothing you can't do on a Mongoose and almost nowhere you can't go on the Malus.

    Great bike!

    I really like this bike! I have owned it for several Months now. As a plus sized person, it took me a while to find a bike that fit my needs and felt stable. This bike feels durable and rides really nicely. I love being able to go on bike rides with my family.     Second chances

    Bike came with a broken rear reflector and a stripped pedal screw, I had to return it because I couldn’t get the pedal on. It was my son’s birthday, I reordered it,hopefully this new one comes with everything as needed.

    Just What I Wanted

    Low price, easy enough to assemble, comfortable on my neighborhood's bad asphalt. I am sixty one and ride out of my front door through my neighborhood, up and down some hills for exercise and fresh air. The only thing I don't like is, I will buy some higher-rise handlebars for a more comfortable ride. I have ridden it four times now for up to 90 minutes, everything is working as expected. Brakes are average. Seat is fine once I adjusted it. I needed to tighten the steering head but the booklet described how. I needed to adjust the brakes and the booklet described how. I expected with the extra weight and larger tires that it would be difficult to ride up hills. It is not that much different. I am riding up hills to get exercise so ten or twenty more pounds is just more exercise. Today I was able to get up the steepest hill I used to go up with my lighter bike. I let some of the air out of the tires for a softer ride. It is a really nice-looking bike!

    Broken parts in first mile

    On my first ride in my neighborhood (on pavement) the chain snapped and I think it has damaged the deraileur. Bike is awesome looking and rolls nice but not happy that it broke in under a mile of use in light conditions.

    Terrible Quality

    I've barely used this bike and after 2 months chain and right foot pedal is broken. definitely need my money back and handle bars keep moving no matter how much you tighten them....this bike is way over priced for the quality..

    Very harsh ride quality

    Tires are good Seat is horrible; feels like sitting on a slab of concrete; very painful and exceedingly uncomfortable NO suspension; feel every small bump hard front brake is weak no adjustment to increase handlebar height (no extra risers provdied) right handgrip rubber slipping off after 3 rides (5 min each)
