Description
Get the most out of your home audio system with high quality, oxygen-free, pure bare copper speaker wire from Monoprice! This speaker wire features two conductors made of high purity (greater than 99.95 percent pure), oxygen-free bare copper. Pure Bare Copper is a superior conductor to the copper clad aluminum (CCA) conductors used in most other inexpensive speaker wire. CCA is only about 68 percent as conductive as pure bare copper. This additional resistance is added to the impedance of your speakers and can negatively effect the sound. For the wire to have no audible effect, the total wire resistance should be no more than 5 percent of the lowest impedance of your speakers. Even speakers rated for a nominal 8-ohms, may dip to as low as 4-ohms at some frequencies, which further reduces the total cable resistance allowed in the wire. Using Pure Bare Copper speaker wire ensures that the total load put on the amplifier remains as close as possible to the impedance curve of your speakers. Each conductor is jacketed with color-coded PVC for easy polarity identification. The entire cable assembly is jacketed in a black, CL2-rated PVC material. The CL2 rating indicates that the cable complies with fire safety and insurance requirements, making it safe for use inside the walls of residential class buildings.

Thumbs up to MonoPrice - speaker wire
Product was shipped and arrived as expected. Product is quality CL2 rated wire. Perfect for use when running in or through walls. Very happy with product. My wire runs (lengths) are about 50 feet. Wire quality is high, so sound quality to the speakers is as clear as if they were five feet from the stereo on professional quality wires. Used with 60-Watt 8ohm speakers.

Very stiff wiring
Appears to be very good quality, like all the Monoprice products I've tried so far, but too stiff for use in point-to-point wiring or vehicular applications. Also the cable jacket is significantly oversized for 2 conductors, leaving a ton of spare room in the cable. The likely reason for this is that Monoprice created a single jacket for its 2-conductor & 4-conductor solutions, leaving a ton of spare room in the 2-conductor cable. In terms of stiffness, this Access Series wiring may be a little more pliable than the Monoprice Nimbus Series. Probably a decent solution for conduit or plenum applications where its stiffness would be a plus or applications where you really don't care that the jacket is taking up twice the space it should be?

Great stuff
Works as it should. I am pushing this to a pair of Focal outdoor speakers and this wire handles the current from a Yamaha amp for a fantastic sound. Each run is longer than 50? so it?s resistance is very nice. Inexpensive to boot. Would recommend.

The white "jacket" is too loose. It looks "twisty". When attached to a wall it looks messy. No I can't take a picture of it. Other than looks, speaker wire is wire , nothing to get excited about.
