There's a page with two dads!
When I bought this for my niece I didn’t realize it had a page with two dads. Good thing I caught it before I gave it to her!

Woke
Was gifted this book and shocked to see the two dads. Definitely does not align to the traditional family values.

Nope
Like Disney, you don’t have to try to fit every race, ethnicity, difficulty and relationship dynamic into one single book, it’s absolutely unnecessary. Pick one and roll with it, and follow the story line, you lose the core meaning of the book (becoming a sister) when you try to add in all the other fluff.

Wonderful book
We bought this book for my second child before I had my third child (daughter). She loved it and we read it a lot. Now my youngest daughter loves to read it even though there are no plans of her becoming a big sister. It is one of her favorites that she reaches for most nights before bed. 10/10 recommend!

I don't recommend
This is definitely not age appropriate or something that should be brought to child’s attention, nor does it teach or encourage a child to be a big sister or adjust to that role, a child is not an adult to fetch a diaper or stop their sibling from crying, will definitely be returning this book

Beautiful Inclusive Story if youre not into Censorship
The negative reviews are absurd. If you don’t like a book DONT BUY IT you psychos. This is a delightful depiction of a variety of families and our favorite big sister book.

Would not recommend. Returning.
Returning it and wouldn’t recommend. I don’t think it’s appropriate for young kids and to have to explain at these young ages why a family in the book has two dads. It’s ridiculous to me that something so controversial was brought into a little kid book that’s supposed to be about becoming a big sister. Truthfully no adults needed to be in the book at all and they just ruined it and tried to push a hidden agenda on people. It took away from the real meaning of becoming a big sister.

Confusing Book
Decent book, but also talks about being a big brother, when it is supposed to just be for big sister. Also, as others have mentioned, it shows 2 dads together on a page.

Not for us
Thought it was cute until we flipped through the whole book. Inappropriate for children. Not suitable for our family.

Inclusive but not far enough
Only one queer family in the whole book!!! all the rest as cis heteronormative (-_-) & howcome the sisers present as "feminine"? Boys can be sisters too. DO BETTER TARGET!

Lovely story on becoming a big sister
This is a wonderful book to prep your daughter on becoming a big sister. My daughter loved reading this before her brother was born and it definitely helped her on what to expect. If anyone has anything else to say, they are misguided. There is absolutely nothing inappropriate about this book. Diaper changes and playing peek-a-boo aren inappropriate?? Let me tell you, my kid never once noticed that the parents were POC or one family had two dads. All she saw kissing the baby good night.

Beautifully illustrated and simply written PERFECT
Please disregard the horrible comments left about this book by hateful close minded people. This book beautifully depicts the transition to big sister and the ways she can fulfill her role as such. It depicts a wide range of real families of varying color and genders. My two year old loves the imagery and excitement that comes with all the ways she can be a big sister and is definitely NOT influenced in any harmful and/or negative way as others have mentioned. The other comments are so sad because you sometimes forget that these types of people with such harmful mindsets exist in our world and are influencing the sweet and pure hearted babies they are raising. Get the book and enjoy it for what it is…a simple depiction of dynamic family life, the love shared among everyone, and what it’s like becoming a big sister! ❤️
