Q: how does the picture get inserted?

A: under the "from the manufacturer" section on the frames product page - if you select "show more" it shows exact directions with picutres on how to change out an image. The directions read - Step 1 - Flip down the frame, Step 2- Remove the 3 Eva Stripes, Step 3- Slide out the glass and change the image, Step 4- Once you replace your image put the glass back, Step 5- put the EVA stripes back into the groove, make sure tight enough and glass panel not loosen

Simple but stylish, however it is a pain to take apart and even harder to get back together without leaving fingerprints all over the glass. They should have warned the buyer to buy gloves to wear when assembling & included directions on how to take apart & put the frame back together. I will not buy another.

Lovely with good clean lines. Well made for the price! I had to figure out how to open it – and then saw the review for the same frame in a different color w comments just on this point. The foam pieces at the edges get removed to slide out the glass. (I used a butter knife to gently get under the edge and then pulled carefully with my fingers.) It would be helpful if there was a diagram on the box... but it only took a few minutes to figure out. It was simple to insert a photo once I saw instructions and would absolutely buy again and recommend.
