DON'T BUY! Great for 3 months - then controller failed and OUT OF WARRANTY!!!

I purchased this desk at the end of August last year. For 90 days it worked fabulously. Then, just after 100 days, the controller failed. One side would go down, but not the other. A factory reset of the controller works; but after a couple of days, it fails again. I called Target and Costway - warranty is only good for 90 days. I then went elsewhare a little more and purchased an excellent desk from Flexispot (I have already had a Flexispot for over 5 years with no problems.) Their warranty is 15 years!

Nice desk.

I was disappointed that the desk didn’t go down any lower. I have a different brand that allows me to lower it to almost a child’s chair hight when my grand children are using the computer. I wanted this brand because it is narrow and would fit better where I wanted it and do the same thing. It doesn’t. Nice desk otherwise.

Nice desk - just the right size for me.

Easy to assemble and works great. The instructions were pretty good, a bit of detail missing in the hex shaft installation, but not hard to figure out. Overall, it's a sturdy desk that operates smoothly - a nice upgrade for my home office. The only thing I'd add us better cable management & a mount for the power supply.

Exacly what I wanted

Not sure why everyone is having trouble putting the desk together, took me maybe about an hour by myself and did it while I was working which is why it probably took me so long. I just followed the pictures on the instructions, as I never actually read them. The rod that brings up the desk does need to be pushed in all the way as there is even a stopper in the end to let you know it’s in and it lines up with the other side as there are little notches to keep it in place. So if your iffy on buying it due to the reviews on the build, I say try it out for yourself as I was a little hesitant due to the reviews and had no problems. It moves up very smoothly and love you can set the desk levels for convenience. Doesn’t seem to scratch easily like some IKEA items I have but would definitely use a coster for drinks as the top itself seem like it would be sensitive to sitting liquids.

Think About It

You will certainly need two people to assemble the desk and watching YouTube videos are very helpful. What makes this desk better than the other larger Costway desk top is that it’s in one piece. The bar that adjusts the height of the desk is a pain to get on (I put together two of these desks and had the same issue for both). Also, start putting the legs of the desk together first, then the feet and add the desk top last. Instructional steps are more difficult than they need to be because the order they list the steps.

Great desk terrible desk

I bought this desk hoping it would solve the issue of my manual standing desk converter taking up too much room on my old desk. I have been setting this desk up for about four 1/2 hours now. I have completely rebuilt it to see where I went wrong three times. I have read and followed the instructions to a T but still am having issues getting the two side to go up at the same time. The connecting rod just spins in the hole not turning the send leg. Which they would just make an electric and manual model with a simple lever you lift and let the hydrologics do the rest. Instead of a bulky motor with cords hanging out wherever that doesn't seem to do what it is designed to do. Can't wait to take this apart again to return it.

Really like the desk, able to fit my laptop, a monitor and still have room for other items. Was pretty easy to put together, did take a bit longer then I thought it would (I used the wrong screws

Working good so far

Assembly took about 15 to 20 minutes following the instruction manual. I've had the desk for about 3 weeks now & it's been great. I have 3 settings but i mostly use two settings, one for sitting & the other for standing, but having that 3rd option is great for anyone else using the desk. I use the desk for school & to work from home.

Sit or stand, it is your choices

I love the fact that I can adjust the desk up or down to my preferences. If I feel like standing while working with my computer, I bring it all the way up to the level of my elbows. Likewise, I I wanted to just sit back and relax while watching my movies on my big screen computer monitor, I can just lower it to the level that works for me. I love it.

Better than expected for the price

It's great. It's sturdy and looks fantastic in my office. I'm overall impressed, especially considering the cost. We'll see how well it ages, but for today, very impressed.

Arrived scuffed up! Didn’t notice it too it was done being put together. I can’t add a videos but those lines rub all the way up and sideways on t meh left side of the table.

Follow the instructions entirely for sure.

Definitely was easy to assemble, easy instructions, and works great. The size and setup l fit my needs perfectly. Ended up better than I thought.

Great Table Horrible Manual

It took us almost 3 hours to get the table togther. And it took 3 people and 3 brains to figure out the instructions. That was a nightmare! SO this is the cons. But the table is a beauty! We got the Teak color in grey legs. It is beautiful and just the right size for our small apartment. Shipping was early than the expected day of delivery which was a plus. The motor for making the table go up and down is smooth and not loud. You can preset up to 4 heights. This table is really great. But you need at least 2 people to fix the table and someone who is fixing things. Hope this helps!

Easy to install/durable/spacious

This desk has a ton of space, enough to fit monitors in the back, a laptop in front of those monitors, and even notebooks or books lined up toward you. I will most likely be purchasing additional monitors to use this desk for personal space and leave the other desk work-related.
