Description

With the exercise printed directly onto the ball, the GoFit Guide Ball is a fun, yet challenging way to stretch, tone and tighten your body. What makes the GoFit Guide Ball so challenging? Unlike training on a stable, flat surface, the ball is a round, unstable surface, so you not only train the primary muscle groups, but also the smaller stabilizing muscles as well. The stabilizing muscles are small, yet very important muscle groups primarily used for balance, alignment and posture. The ball total body workout is very efficient, allowing you to see the results you want in a much quicker period of time.

Not 55 cm!

Thumbs down graphic, would not recommend

This stability ball is not 55 cm. It's maybe half that size. Even with inflating it with an air matress pump I could not get it to size. Defnitely returning this stability ball to get one that is actually sized.

Bought this back in 2012, and it's pretty much the same as it was back then. Easy to inflate and holds the air for a long time. I've only had to reinflate it once during this entire time.

I bought the 75 cm ball and I've used it for a few months now, the ball has maintained it's proper size and pressure and functions as a situp ball only for me. It seems well made and will last for years. The only problem with it is the cheaply made, useless pump that they included would take days to pump up, so I used my electric air pump to do the job. Remember to pump it up about 80% then let it sit for 24 hours, then pump it up to the correct size ( they provide a tape measure to check). If you don't do it this way it will form an egg shape and won't be round. This is key.

I'm writing this review to pay my respects to this remarkable ball, on which I am presently sitting as I write. I bought the GoFit 75cm commercial grade Pro Ball literally TEN YEARS AGO. It has traveled with me across three states, two degrees, and a decade of life, and it still holds my 190 lbs without leaking any air. I filled it with air when I moved into my last apartment, and after two years of use it was still fully inflated. I suspect that they will soon uncover a hidden chamber in the pyramids, and inside there will be one of these balls, still inflated and usable from 3000 years ago...

Had one of these brands for 10 years before my kids busted it. I bought a different brand ball and it lasted all of 2 weeks. Bought this brand again and should have from the start. Material is thicker than the other balls, and it's made to last. No complaints at all.

It feels very sturdy, and after the first week or so, I haven't needed to add any more air (~4 months, if not longer). The excercises on the ball itself are nice - you don't need to consult a booklet when you want a spontaneous workout.

I purchased this ball to replace a different one that I had less luck with. I was hoping that the "commercial grade" would yield better quality results. Here are my initial impressions. If things change over the next few weeks, I'll be sure to leave an update.ContentThe ball came with a useful starter booklet describing basic exercises (that are also printed around the center of the ball), a DVD that I have not looked at yet, two plugs, a plug removing tool, a premarked tape measure with holes for the pump, a pump, and extra nozzle for the pump, and the ball. Definitely a superior initial impression over the other ball I received.Initial Quality ImpressionThe ball felt heavier than the other one I had received, which was also rated for 2000 lbs, and didn't smell particularly bad. Indeed, pumping did seem more cumbersome. Others have reported that the included pump is cheap and fairly worthless. I never even tried it as it was identical to the lousy pump I had received with another product, but instead used the handy-dandy included nozzle that fit nicely into a bicycle pump. The instructions said to pump the ball up over 2 days, half the first day, then let it settle for 10-12 hours before finishing the job. I followed the instructions with some disappointment in not being able to put the ball to immediate use. After pumping the ball fully using the handy included tape measure, I found that it was a bit softer than the other 75 cm ball I had, despite the extra effort it took to actually inflate the thing. However, it is not soft to the point of sagging, and can definitely be used as is. Note that I am not any kind of an expert on these things and it may be that it is supposed to be a little soft. I am simply comparing it to a previous product I had.The pin remover worked well.Overall, my initial impressions are very positive. I considered giving it four starts instead of five due to the lousy pump and the slightly soft feeling, but I think the extras that came with the ball more than made up for that.**UPDATE**I've had it for 20 days now and it has not lost any air. It's still a bit soft, but I think that's actually okay. The DVD included is actually quite helpful. Includes both basic and advanced exercises. I would definitely recommend this product.**UPDATE 1 YEAR LATER**I'm amazed. The ball is still in good shape. While I no longer use it every day, this is definitely a solid product. It continues to hold its shape and has lost very little air. I would strongly recommend this product.

I just pumped this ball up all by myself with minimal effort, using the plastic pump that came free with the ball. A bunch of reviewers seem to feel this is too much trouble... people, it's an EXERCISE BALL! Work those flabby arms and pump it up yourself! It does not "take forever" .... it took me about seven minutes of continuous pumping, switching arms, and gave me a great workout. I am sitting on this ball as I type, it inflated fully without issue. Save your money and work those arms out.

I got this ball several days ago and I consider it a great ball at a very reasonable price. It is attractive (looks just like the picture), feels good on the skin, is made from very sturdy material (definitely professional quality) and didn't have any odor right from the start. It really measures 75 cm in diameter. I found that the best way to pump up this ball is to use a compressor to get a good shape and then switch to the supplied pump to top off at high pressure. Unlike some other reviewers, I found the pump to be excellent. It is obviously designed to deliver small amounts of air at high pressure so I was able to get a very firm ball in short order. It pumps on both the upward motion and the downward motion which is a very intelligent and useful design. However, it would take a long time to fill the ball completely using only the supplied pump. When I bought the ball it was not advertised to come with a DVD so make sure you check on that first before ordering. I'm 6'3' and 220lbs and this ball is the right size for me for general exercising. I can use this ball all day long and it will last forever.

I've only had this ball for a little over a week, but I really like it. I've been doing exercise videos, one of which recommended a fitness ball. I never really liked using a fitness ball at the gym, but I decided to go ahead and get one anyway. Well, this is much better than what I used at the gym! Sturdy, good quality, and the right size (I learned that the ones I'd been using at the gym were too large). I've noticed there are questions about what size on a lot of reviews of different balls. Some people say that the "cutoff" between a 55 cm ball and a 65 cm ball is 5'3" instead of 5'6". I'm 5'3" and the 55cm ball is perfect for me. The balls I'd used at the gym look more like the "burst resistant" balls instead of the professional ones. The professional stability ball is definitely nicer. It was easy to pump up with the supplied pump too. I guess I'll report back if I have any problems with it, but thus far it looks like a very good purchase. I'm enjoying the exercises with it as the balance challenge adds an interesting element. Nice fitness ball!---- Some time later ----Okay I've been working out with the ball for a while now, and it's great. The only real problem is that I'd like to add more air. I've tried and tried but can't get the plug out. I can't do it with my fingernails, pliers are impossible to grip it with (and might hurt the ball anyway), sticking various items under the head of the plug hasn't worked so far. Is there a special tool I need to buy to remove the plug? I did manage to remove it once before, but over time it's become really stuck in the air. In general, that's a good thing; but for adding more air, it's difficult.---- Later ----I wrote the manufacturer and they suggested working the plug out by using 2 dimes. Or my brother-in-law did it in 2 seconds flat using a butter-knife. :) So it hasn't been a real problem. I've had the ball quite a while now, and it works great. I've done some long stability-ball exercise classes, and this is perfect for them. Very good quality.

I wanted to add to my already decent workout. I was having a conversation one day with a friend, and the topic of stability balls came up. She told me what size to look for, being short. As soon as I got home that day I put in the search for a stability ball. In our discussion, she also told me to look for a ball that came with a workout dvd. Everything that I was looking for I found in this ball: 1)right size for my height 2)not too pricey 3)comes with a workout dvd 4)has good ratings. The delivery was quick, and the pump was very easy to figure out. I pumped up my ball, and I was exercising the next day. (Keep in mind that I have been actively working out and walking for the past two years or more. I have already past the beginner stage, and I was looking for something more. I don't necessarily want to loose weight, I just want to maintain what I've already lost.)
