Damaged on arrival
Product had good reviews and I thought it would be a good item to store books and toys. The product came damaged with scuffs on both shelves. The shelf was packaged poorly and had tape on the shelving unit which resulted in additional large sections of the paint/finishing coming off

One of the panels was too short. Maybe 2 inches. So my boyfriend had to modify that panel. Didn’t want to return it because it was almost fully built when it was the panel’s turn to be installed. Emailed the company about it. But they referred me back to Target Customer Service. But I don’t think Target can send me the correct size panel.

Flet like a fake stage prop
It felt like something that would be used as props on a stage of a fake room scene. There is no way this would last a toddler. Very complicated to put together.

Cute and holds a lot!
We bought this for our daughter who crochets and has a yarn problem… :) The cabinet seems super sturdy and it wasn’t hard at all to put together. I took off one star because some of the holes were not where they were supposed to be so a dowel or two is missing. It didn’t cost me any additional work and I don’t think that it makes the cabinet less stable, but it’s still a small issue. Looks great! I think it is a good value as well. It was on sale when we bought it.

The directions needed more details, very vague where to place hardware. The screws for the back poke through the wood, very hard to maneuver, I had to use small nails.

Design is great, and I like how it can store a wide variety of items, and how storage boxes could be used with it, if desired. I bought 2, to help with the growing supply of toys my 3-year old is collecting. Assembling requires some patience, especially since my 3-year old wanted to help, but everything went well. I hope the instructions are eventually put online on the Target's website; construction of my second bookcase was delayed by a couple of hours because my daughter thought they were a coloring book, and she set them somewhere unexpected, and I had already thrown away the first set. Fortunately the instructions were found before I had to try to assemble without instructions.
