Book Synopsis

Encountering new situations can be scary. But with the help of the adorable toucans peeking through the pages of this book, children will learn simple ways to conquer their fear of the unknown while also learning to count down from five. A toucan who is feeling shy gives a small wave; a nervous toucan finds the courage to sing along with the other animals; and a toucan who is afraid to swim decides to try it anyway and cautiously tiptoes into the water. Children will find that by doing even the simplest things, they have the confidence and courage to be brave!

About the Author

Rosamund Lloyd lives in London with her two boys (one son, one husband). She loves visiting museums in the big city and baking cakes in her tiny house.

Gareth Lucas is an illustrator and designer living in his hometown in Essex, England with his wife and five children. After studying at Brighton and Central Saint Martin's Art Schools he has worked on a variety of projects, but enjoys children's book illustration the most. When he is not working he can be heard indulging his other love - the banjo!
