I liked the tall, narrower shade and that it wasn't white. The detail on the gourd part of the lamp is interesting texture and the colors present as gray and brown or greige in my room ( gray walls with brown undertones). The only thing I would change is the switch which is on the power line instead of the socket but isn't a deal breaker for me. The charger for phones etc is a bonus and I use regularly! The light from this lamp is exactly what I wanted: warm, not bright, yet you can easily read with it.
