Q: I'm deep frying a turkey for thanksgiving. Can I leave the probe in a turkey while submerged in 320 F degree grease?

  • A: Hello, Unfortunately, the probe of this device cannot be completely submerged in liquid or oil. This would be possible if you were able to set up the probe in a manner where only the half of the probe with the tip was inserted or submerged.

    Great thermometer

    I have only had a chance to use this once so far so not a lot of use, but this is a great thermometer. It is very easy to use and I will definitely be using it often when I do BBQ. Much easier to get a specific temperature with than the cheap ones that I typically use.

    Great Meat Thermometer

    The ThermoPro TP828BW Remote Meat Thermometer with Long Wireless Range and Dual Stainless Steel Probes for Grilling Smoker BBQ Thermometer is a great add for anyone that grills! My husband has always said he doesn't need one, but he has really enjoyed using this one. The remote has great range and the ability to set an alarm in several modes. The screens are easy to read. The thermometer is easy to use! I would certainly purchase this product for anyone that uses a grill or smoker.

    Great, useful gadget

    I received these products for free from the Hey, Bullseye™ sampling program in exchange for my honest review. This is a great gadget for getting the temperature of your meat correct! The batteries were packaged with the product, so we could use it right out of the box. The 2 probes is great for different types of meat. We only used one the first use. It has settings for many different types of meat. We used the chicken setting. The correct temperature is already programmed for each different meat. I sat on the pool deck, and the reading matched the unit the probe is attached to. Everything is easy to read, and intuitive to use. The alarm is LOUD; you won't miss hearing it when your food is ready. Both units sound the alarm! The probe gets HOT; do not remove it without wearing a glove to protect your hands! My partner found out the hard way.

We grill and use the smoker a lot in the warmer months and he usually has to keep a close eye on the thermometer we had before, as it had to stay at the grill. We tried this wireless one this weekend and it was great being able to just carry the indoor piece to monitor and set alarms!

I love that the alarm has a vibration mode. The remote range is phenomenal at 1000 feet. I can prep other foods and still be within range for the grill. I can even be at the neighbors. This meat thermometer is next level.

They will definitely be impressed with this little set because it’s a far cry from your average meat thermometer. It is designed to digitally read and time cooking to the perfect temperature, even depending on personal taste preferences. There’s a setting for every different kind of meat from veal to chicken, and the large and small duo are made to sync cooking times of a dish in the kitchen at the same time as whatever is outside grilling. They pair and monitor temps wirelessly, accurately reading up to 1000 feet by Bluetooth. The digital thermometers are thoughtfully designed as well with little pop up stands and hideaway hooks to hang if needed. My husband the home chef can’t believe he’s gone so many years with a basic old dial model you have to guess the readings on. He and my tastebuds give their seals of approval.

    [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This two probe thermometer has helped me at my backyard grill and even in my kitchen. By letting me know when my meat has reach my desired and precise temperature, I get a dish that's to mine and my family's liking every time! The wireless range helps me get other things done while trusting the monitor to keep me posted and the current status of my meats. It has such a long range that I was able to stop by my neighbor and have a coffee with her while I waited for my BBQ dinner be ready. This really is an amazing meat thermometer with all the USDA recommended cooking temperature settings.
