Description

This 4K HDMI degree Extender Over Ethernet allows you to extend an HDMI signal over a single Cat5e/Cat6 Ethernet cable. It supports resolutions up to 4K@30Hz with YCbCr 4:4:4, including 1080p@60Hz with YCbCr 4:4:4. It can extend 4K signals to distances up to 164 feet (50 meters) and 1080p signals to distances up to 229 feet (70 meters). It is fully compliant with the HDMI 1.4 and HDCP 1.4 specifications and features smart EDID degree management.

The Monoprice Blackbird 4K30 Video Extender over Ethernet is designed to transmit HDMI video signals over CAT5e/6/7 cables using a point-to-point connection. It does not work over a typical home internet network or through standard network switches and routers. Instead, it requires a direct cable run between the transmitter and receiver for reliable video transmission. Using it on an existing home network with other data traffic or through network equipment will not function as intended.

Q: With this extender kit, does it come with both the transmitter and a receiver along with power source for both ?

  • A: Thank you for your question. This extender kit includes both the transmitter and the receiver. An AC power adapter is provided and only needs to be connected to the transmitter. The receiver is powered directly through the Cat5e or Cat6 Ethernet cable, which is sold separately, eliminating the need for an additional power source at the display location.

works great

So i just bought these and they worked great plug and play no worries. Great price too. Works well with 4K apple tv where some hdmi baluns have issues.
