Description
The GoFit Leather Jump Rope is the classic boxer's training rope. It comes with a solid 9 ft. leather rope, precision ball bearings, and contoured foam grip handles. Ideal for long sessions at the gym or if you just want to look like Rocky! Jumping rope is one of the most efficient methods of cardio training. Jumping rope for 10 minutes at a moderate pace is the equivalent to running one mile in 12 minutes, cycling 2 miles in 6 minutes, swimming a quarter mile in 12 minutes, 2 sets of tennis or playing an 18-hole golf course. Since jumping rope is such an efficient exercise, your cardiovascular system will experience some type of stress, especially in sedentary people. * Before beginning any weight loss or exercise program, you should consult with your physician.

This product is too light. The rope is not weighted enough to use as a jump rope. It is not cost effective. It has to be cut to your height only to find out that it is useless
Tangles alot

I liked that they allow u to adjust length. However after 10 jumps the rope started to tangle or curl up

I don't use this like i thought I would. It is very high quality. It did have a strong odor that eventually faded.

This is a very nice rope. Good for beginners, intermediate, or pro. It's real leather and and grips are very comfortable.

This rope is not for beginners unless you like a leather rope which it do, but since I haven't jumped in a while gotta get use to the weight and speed...it is not a fast rope, but it will give a great workout...Hey! Adrian!

Briefly: This works well for me (I'm 5'9, and work out on a wood floor); the weight is good, allows me to build up speed. Only negative is that it seems to retain too much shape memory, so has kinks and folds from when it was packed. If I could find one, I'd pay more for a nice solid rope with a bit more heft to it, and which hangs more nicely (without kinkiness). But until then, this is certainly quite suitable to the purpose.Caveat: I'm basically a beginner at rope-jumping, can't comment on what someone with more sophisticated skills might need.

I'm a beginner jump rope user, and was able to learn to use this leather jump rope with ease. No complaints whatsoever.

I bought another "speed" rope that had a really thick vinyl/plastic rope. That one worked great as long as I had shoes on. Problem is I jump on top of martial arts mats, where myself and others practice submission wrestling. You don't wear shoes on the mat. With no shoes on, the other rope stung like crazy if I messed up since it was so heavy, so I decided to pick up a new rope.Enter this rope. It's a lot lighter, but seems to be made by the same company as the handles are identical. Adjusting the length requires a pair of pliers and a vice, or 2 pairs of pliers, or any creative means to bend the retaining metal that's bent around the leather rope in the handle. Have to bend the metal to free the rope, adjust it, cut off the excess, then re-bend the metal retainers back in place. After that was done, I was quite happy with this rope. It requires a little more arm/wrist movement since it's not as heavy, but since I'm not a pro at jumping rope it's a lot more forgiving on the toes when I mess up. I'd recommend this rope over the heavier vinyl ropes if you're just starting out and not jumping rope like a boxer who's been at it for years, and you don't wear shoes while you jump. If you do wear shoes, it doesn't really matter which rope you choose in my opinion, since messing up won't hurt at all.
